We used Core Remodeling to construct a 12xdeck on my mother-in-law's house after a Winter collapse of the old deck We found the company through their booth at the Worcester Home Show, and after a quick minute discussion at a very busy venue, we could tell the professionalism of the company After initial discussion, Corey (Owner) provided a very detailed proposal and estimate of the work to be done, clarifying any questions I had quickly The insurance check we received was not sufficient to cover the cost of the deck, so we turned to Cory for help He reviewed the insurance estimate, he then met with their adjuster at the work site to point out all the issues with the initial insurance estimates, and was able to negotiate a larger insurance payout so the job could be done right and up to the current building code Due to this effort by Corey, there was no out-of-pocket cash outlay by my mother-in-law, which was really key to this entire project All phone calls were returned on time, e-mails were answered timely and overall the communication process was great The work was done as the timeline was laid out, no missed appointments or unscheduled delays The project manager, Mike, was on the job the entire time and was able to walk me through any questions I had regarding the specific deck or the building code in general Mike was always polite and informative, keeping us informed of progress; I think he went above and beyond The office staff was also very professional, nice and polite Overall, I would recommend Core Remodeling for any construction needs one might have The experience was smooth and pleasant, the people I dealt with were knowledgeable, the work was timely and the deck came out great My mother-in-law could not be happier with the end results
I had to have my front porch repaired, stairs replaced, and the exterior door replacedThey gave me a great estimate and took the time to answer my questions by e-mail and by phone After they finished the project I was amazed at the quality of the work that was done and the care they showed I am also impressed that they took time to explain what they where doing and why that had to do it I will be definitely be using them again for my future projects around the house!

In the summer of we experienced major damage to our garage Although the damage was covered by our insurance, I anticipated a long and tedious process to getting the necessary approvals to satisfy the insurance company CORE Remodeling was recommended by a good friend Corey and Mike came out, evaluated the damage and work to be done and Corey worked up a very specific and detailed quote The insurance company accepted their quote and issued check no questions asked Long story short - we hired CORE to rebuild our garage, and were very pleased with the results We had been contemplating a kitchen remodel for a few years, and in we bit the bullet and committed to getting it done Based on our very positive experience with CORE on our garage project we asked Corey to come by to discuss and work up a quote Corey was very helpful navigating us through the jungle of budget vsdesires What initially seemed like compromises, turned out to be very acceptable and pleasing alternatives CORE delivered a very specific and detailed quote just as they had done for the garage, and we were off to the races The project started right on time The project scope was the remodel of our back entry/mud room, the kitchen, the only stairway upstairs and the upstairs hallway Now our home is nearly years old, and if it ever was level, plumb and square - it isn't today Coupled with a highly detailed cabinet design, the old house presented many challenges for the installers: Steve and Mike Steve was especially adept at knowing how the base cabinet location on the south wall was going to affect the crown molding on the north wall Watching and talking with Steve I could see the chess match going on between the old house and Steve Checkmate - Steve and CORE win The project did take longer than anticipated, but the cause was more the hand of fate than CORE not keeping the schedule; and we stayed within budget In the end the results were worth the wait We are very happy with results achieved by Mike and Steve, and the specialist sub-contractors chosen by CORE I am sure I could have hired someone else to hang cabinets, plaster, paint, etc I am just as sure I could not have hired anyone else that would have treated my home as my home and not just their worksite CORE went the extra mile to keep our home a functioning home Despite the scope of the project, the dirt, dust and debris was confined to the work area The in-process components were organized and the area sweeach night I'm and engineer I had a lot of questions each day The guys listened to my questions and gave polite, responsive and most importantly informed answers I never felt like I was being blown-off And, in a project this size you, the home owner, have decisions to make almost on a daily basis During the twelve week project my wife and I had numerous positive exchanges with Mike and Steve related to those decision points Too many to recount, or even remember Often we were pleasantly surprised at how "included" we felt, how involved we were in the process, and how Mike and Steve were able to weave our persona into the final result Corey, Mike and Steve: Bravo!!!
