Initial Business Response /* (1000, 8, 2014/10/18) */
Contact Name and Title: [redacted] J. [redacted] Owner
Contact Phone: XXX-XXX-XXXX
Contact Email: [redacted]
On July 23, 2014, we signed a wriiten contract with [redacted] stating that we would install a 203 square foot...

concrete patio off the deck in an oval shape. The price including dig out, removal of debree, 3/4" stone, and 4" plus concrete with a california finish for $1600.00. We would also fix the brick edging from new patio to pool at no extra cost. Finally, install one ton of decorative stone for $105.00 for a total of $1705.00. This job was to be done on a Saturday to avoid getting a permit
We dug out area, set up all forms, and laid all stone. We then poured 5.5 yards of conctrete and we were 6 square feet short. I then ran to closest hardware store and purchased conctete. We mixed it and poured it and everything looked fine. When the concrete dried, It looked as if there was a water stain. I wasn't happy so we then purchased a concrete top coat ($440.00) and installed it at no cost to [redacted]. While this procedure was getting finished, the father ([redacted] of the 2 concrete finishers ([redacted] and [redacted] that the top coat would crack over time and since his sons screwed it up he would replace it. The top coat has a PSI rating 3 time of concrete and [redacted] is wrong. When we left the job, the patio looked great. We then finised all the landscaping and had to put in another ton of decorative stone which would be another 105.00. We finished the job and we were only paid 1500 out of the 1810.00 that is owed.
Since then, [redacted] has stated that since [redacted] said that he was going to replace the patio, he wants the patio replaced. I told him he has to deal with him. I have text messages that he has sent me stating all of these facts.
However, On a seperate issue, I am suing [redacted] and [redacted] and I added in the money for this job. I told [redacted] that if I won the case, I would give him back his money minus all landscaping. We have been to court and [redacted] has continued the case till 11/7/2014. I tried to keep [redacted] informed from the time I filed suit a month and a half ago but all I got was treats and I am not going to deal with that.

The owner met with [redacted] and there was a verbal agreement to complete the work. The agreement was to remove a small hill along side the driveway and use the topsoil along with an additional 2 yards to make front yard level. Seed with high grade seed and fertilizer with seed/sod starter. Power...

rake back yard and fertilize with weed n feed. [redacted] was told that we were about 1-2 weeks out to complete the job and nobody had to be home to do the work. It also depended on the rain as it could hold us back from other jobs. He had no issue and said that we were highly recommend.
We showed up at [redacted] home 16 days later and completed the front yard. [redacted] called me later that evening and told me that there was some rocks in the topsoil we had put down. I went staight to his home to look at it. There was some 3/4" stone throughout the topsoil (later I found out that there was some stone in the trailer from a previous job.) l apologized and told him I would have my employees come and pick out all the stone the following morning. He agreed but said not to do the work in the back yard. I said that was fine and I would adjust his bill accordingly. He said after we removed the stone, send him a bill in the mail. The next morning,  I took two employees to his house at 8:30 am and showed them the stone to remove. I left and came back one hour later and there was no stone. They put the stone in a five gallon bucket and there was about a hundred pieces.
The bid was for 550.00 but billed him 410.00.
There was a lot of labor involved in this job and three different sets of his neighbors said what a wonderful job we did. I will take off an additional 10% off this job which will bring his bill down to 369.00 as long as this issue is resolved on a positive note to the Revdex.com and the bill is paid by the due date. If we have to remove the topsoil, there will be a 350.00 charge. His due date on this bill is 6/9/2016 in which we have received nothing. I will extend the due date to 6/16/2016. After that date, the bill will go back to 410.00 and there will be a 5% late fee per month. After 3 months, this bill will be sent to my attorney.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
Sincerely,
[redacted]
