Corin Homes, LLC Reviews (2)

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  I AM ATTACHING DOCUMENTATION OF THE EMAIL THAT CORIN SUPPOSEDLY NEVER RECEIVED.  INTERESTING THAT KYLE RESPONDED TO THIS EMAIL AND THEN CAME OUT TO THE HOUSE AND TOOK PICTURES, BUT, NEVER PROVIDED ANY FEEDBACK.  I WILL NOT PAY INSPECTOR FOR THEM TO COME OUT AND REVIEW.  THIS HOUSE WAS UNDER WARRANTY.  PERIOD.  I HAVE NOT EVEN SENT THE EMAIL ABOUT THE CRACKS THAT NEED REPAIRED DUE TO SETTLEMENT AS OBVIOUSLY I WOULD HAVE THE SAME ISSUES.  WHAT IS THE POINT IF THEY ARE NOT HELD ACCOUNTABLE???  REALLY DISAPPOINTED THEY WOULD LIE.  SO, IF ANYONE READS THIS REVIEW, I WOULD DEFINITELY NOT BUILD WITH CORIN.
Regards,

The following email was a reply directly to Mrs. [redacted] from the owner of Corin Homes.
Hi [redacted],
I clearly gather you’re frustrated, hence the personal attacks on me, my integrity, & my faith. I believe we all experience some level of confusion with the communication in this process and I genuinely want to resolve this in the best manner we can.
I was merely operating from the information I had at the time and when I & Jill searched the warranty emails, we found no documentation from plumber or photos. This doesn’t mean it wasn’t sent, but we didn’t have it in ours. I am aware of the communication via emails between you & Kyle and it was my understanding that before the Revdex.com complaint, Kyle had given you our assessment of the issue. If this is incorrect, then I assure you Corin will handle our communication issue with the appropriate parties responsible for keeping you informed. Corin responded to the Revdex.com as we always do with a simple email of trying to come up with a solution that best fits yours & ours expectations.
In our staff meeting, Kyle explained what he discovered on inspection himself which was a result of horizontal & heavy rains being projected down the opening of the vent cap. You will see daylight since these are never sealed to allow for ventilation. His assessment was that it was this that caused the water damage. Since this issue has never arisen before with all the rain Houston gets, we believed that this made logical sense. All builders experienced large volumes of roof calls after those storms. If there was an issue with the roof or the seal, we would have seen this long before now.
Okay, this explains our assessment, BUT…..it became clear this wasn’t communicated properly or that you would not accept our answer and proceeded to the Revdex.com. We’re not upset as this is the reason for the Revdex.com.
Even without my seeing this photo you attached, we made a decision that we believed would serve both of our expecations in this matter. By sending a 3rd party inspector out to make the final ruling. We have 3 issues with the photo. The 1st is we have no idea where this photo came from or if this person is a licensed plumber. The 2nd is even if it was a legitimate firm, a plumber is not a roofer or inspector who can accurately support the claim of a bad vent pipe seal to the roof. The 3rd is this photo only depicts what we already know. You can’t see if there is a leak, a hole, or something wrong with the vent.
In closing, what should have been communicated to you and at least through the Revdex.com is that we are absolutely willing to pay for an inspector to properly analyze the roof & stack to see if this was in fact a bad install & defective seal thus requiring Corin to make the necessary repairs. However, our arrangement is one that if determined Kyle’s assessment of the roof is correct and the vent is installed properly, then the burden of cost to repair will lie with you.
I believe my willingness to do this despite our assessment of the roof would display to you our willingness to follow through and ensure our workmanship is of the highest standards.
Please let me know how you would like to proceed.
Kind Regards,
