Review: Purchased 4 brand new Hancook tires in 12-26-2013. My step son put 13K miles on the tires. The tred went from 10mm down to 6.5 in less than 1 year. He does not have poor driving habits. The tire dealer and business owner will not stand behind their product. The tires as basically almost ruined in 1 year and this is our fault???Desired Settlement: I am requesting 4 brand new tires that are of better quality and will last greater than 1 year. I spent 971.00 at this business last year for breaks, pads, 4 new tires, balancing, mounting and new stems. And this is the exceptionally poor product support that I get????

My name is [redacted] and I work for Pomp’s Tire Service. I am Corky’s sales rep for Hankook Tires. He called me to meet with him and his customer to look and evaluate the tires on his customers car. When I got there I measured the tread depth on the tires and they were at 6.5/32nd tread remaining on the tires. The tires comes new at 10/32nd I explained to the customer how the mileage warranty works. The tires need to be worn out to 2/32 tread left, that is when the tire is considered worn out. At that time we can see how many actual miles are on the tires. Then the replacement tires would be calculated by percentage of the warranted miles not received. Since the tires are not worn out yet we need to continue to run these tires out until they get to 2/32 tread. At that time I can take care of the customer’s tires and pro rate the warranty for mileage shortfall. This is the Hankook’s limited warranty and conditions for their tires.
