Review: Original contract to repair roof never happened dated dec 2012. We found out they never did the repair the end on mar 2013 by water damage to our living room and squirrels in our walls. Corley came out a few days later and did a poor job on the roof repair and removed flashing from the back of our home resulting in another access point for the squirrels to enter our home. Our roof is still not secured properly and we had to ay $400 to our pest company to fix the error Corley made in taking off the flashing on the back of our house.Desired Settlement: I want Corley to refund $400 we paid to fix the flashing they removed in the back of the house which allowed squirrels to access our house. I also want Corey to repair the roof properly. We took photos of the repair that show shingles popping up and flashing not secured.

The

original contract was sent in December 2012, however the contract was not

signed by the homeowner/contractor until February 2013. It was our recommendation that the roof be

replaced. It was decided by the homeowner

that they only wanted to do a repair on the front right side of

the roof. Scheduling had to be done

with the contractor as the homeowner lives out of state. The work was completed in March 2013. After

the contracted work was done, we heard from the homeowner saying that they were

displeased with how the repair looks (through pictures sent by their contractor). In

the signed contract, it is noted that the new shingles, siding and metal will

not match the existing exactly. The owner of our company ([redacted] Corley) talked to both the homeowner and contractor of the job

several times last Friday to assure them that we stand behind our work &

would take the necessary steps to rectify the situation. The agreed upon solution has already been

completed. Our company was out to the

job site this morning (4/15/13) & redid the repair.

Lastly, we did not remove any flashing or anything else from the rear of

the roof. This was not even in the area

where we were working. If squirrels gained access on this part of the roof, it was not a result of anything our company did. However, in a show of good

faith we have deducted $400.00 from the bill at the homeowner's request even

though it was not a result of our work. We have not been shown any evidence that a pest control company has been out, but have deducted $400.00 anyway. We hope this proves how strongly we stand behind our work and our reputation. Furthermore, we hope in the future we will be given a

chance to rectify any problems before a complaint is filed.

Corley roofing has refunded us $400 and the roofing work has now been completed to our satisfaction. We are happy with the outcome. Corely responded to our complaint via the Revdex.com with speed and professionalism.
