We brought our car for repair to fix a leak which we were told was coming from the 4 wheel drive which was stuck (the car was put on the lift and confirmed that the leak was indeed from there). They gave us an estimate which we approved (about $500.00), and they ordered the parts. We brought it back on the set appointment. We received a phone call saying we needed another part as well, (about $200.00). We really had no choice as it needed to be done because of the leak. Upon picking up the car, we paid the bill of $783.80.
A short time later, we saw the same leak of the same substance on the garage floor, only worse.
We returned to speak with the owner who stated that the receipt said the water pump was “weeping”. Even though the car was on the lift on two separate occasions, we were never told verbally anything about the water pump. The water pump problem was never mentioned to us at all. However, they put if at the bottom of the receipt which we paid, folded and left.
We were discussing this with a clerk, and the owner came out and started screaming immediately. He called us “crazy”. At no time were we rude, and we talked in a normal tone. He did not give us a chance to speak during his ?2 minute tirade. We have never been treated with such disrespect from any business person like this man treated us (he identified himself as the owner). We were speechless and mortified. He SCREAMED at us and told us to go elsewhere. On our way out he muttered a negative comment under his breath. We were absolutely shocked and disgusted. And worst than that, we were ripped off.
Customer brought their vehicle in for it being stuck in 4 wheel drive. At no time did they mention a leak of any kind, nor was any type of leak addressed. Upon returning, they would not listen to the fact that it was not brought in for a leak, therefore a leak was not addressed. They were not ripped off, as the problem with the 4 wheel drive was solved. They were informed of the water pump issue to be addressed at some other time.
I brought our minivan to Cormier's to have 2 new tires installed on the front and made it clear that I wanted the 2 *** tires (with around 25,000 miles on them) installed on the rear, to replace the 2 tires there(some cheap brand tires that had over 55,000 miles on them). I even walked out with the person, who came out to ask for the keys, to show him what I wanted done. What they did instead was put one *** tire on the rear, and left one of the older tires on. Since the *** was on the driver's side, I didn't notice it until later the next day. Since this was a Friday, I went first thing Monday morning, at 7:30, worried that they had thrown away my *** tire. I understand that everyone makes mistakes, but their attitude towards me was terrible. They told me that I had to make an appointment and come back. I politely said that, "no, my appointment was last Thursday to put on 2 new tires and put my 2 *** on the back." Then he said I had to wait until the manager came in at 8:30. At 8:35 this same person came back to me and said, "give me your keys, I'll do it now". At no time did he or the manager, or anyone apologize to me for the screw up. That was the worst part. I drove 1/2 hour each way, and was there for over an hour. And it was very obvious which tires were newer and which were the older ones.
When he came in on November 16, 2017, there was not a conversation about him having a tire leak in one of his old tires. He inquired about 2 new tires, re-balancing of his rear tires and a front end alignment. So, as all 4 of his old tires,, upon visually inspecting, were all evenly worn out, we picked the 2 that we thought were his best option to reuse for the rear. Unfortunately, if we had known he had trouble with a leak in one of the tires, we would have not installed it on the car. Basically, the whole issue is because of a lack of communication upon first intake and with ***. When *** came in on the following Monday to correct the problem, he showed up at 7:30 a.m. The owner and the techs do not get in until 8:30 a.m. He was very demanding and not willing to work with us time wise to resolve this conflict. When the techs arrived at 8:30 we quickly swapped out the tire in question at no additional charge to him.
Really, you're arguing with me because you didn't put the 2 matching tires that were on the front when I came in, on the rear? And you can't tell the difference between 2 tires, one with 25k and one with 55k on them? I'm looking at them now, and they still look pretty new; the one you left on was in rough shape, so much so that when I got a new inspection sticker, the garage commented on how little tread was left on the older one. And again, I did tell the guy who moved my car that I wanted the 2 Goodyear tires on the rear, because they were newer. Obviously you must never make mistakes because you don't know how to apologize. A simple, "I'm sorry, we made a mistake" would have gone a long way when I had to drive 30 minutes back to your shop on Monday morning, worrying about whether my tire had been thrown away or not. Your response shows that you are digging in your heels, instead of admitting you made a mistake, and forgot or didn't understand my basic instructions. And most people would be upset and demanding if the staff were rude to them first.
