I am rejecting this response because: Lee J [redacted] is correct in one issue I did purchase a heavy duty commode for $from Corner Home Medical formally Merwin Home Medical on January I also worked with the customer service representative from Health Partners He explained to me how I would have to go about getting Health Partners to pay for some of the cost of the commode The Customer Service Representative said I would have to get a Dr.’s Prescription and how to handle it I did tell Health Partners I would pay the copayment bill when I got it as back in January as neither of us was sure what the copayment would be at that timeI heard from Health Partners twice as he kept me informed that they were still working on itNow as for the Customer Service Representative at Corner Medical on June 7th all she did was transfer me to the billing department Nothing was said about a Refund Request Form On June 7th the billing department just said you sent in a copayment and I said yes on June 5th Two days is more than enough time for them to receive the copayment She said she would check and get back to me I got off the phone and realized that she had never asked for my phone number I then though well they should have it with the paper work Not hearing anything by the 9th of June I called again and was told by the billing department that both the copay for the commode and cushion were taken out of the refund This upset me because how can they do that without talking to me Plus I had sent in the copayment for the commode Plus until that point I had no idea of where the cushion had come from I got off the phone realizing that I would never get my refund as they never had any intention of sending it to me I told my wife who half the time does not know what day of the week it is I will not call Corner Home Medical again nor will I ever do business with that company again Today is July 17th and as of today I have never received a phone call from Corner Home Medical nor have I received on dime of my refund I was contacted by a contractor from Health Partners times in two days who is working on the refund I was asked to not let Corner Home Medical escalate the situation until the CEO of Corner Home Medical gets back from his vacation at the end of the month As she wanted to talk to him I said d I would as she was kind enough to call me and talk to me I pay my bills as they come in and it’s funny as all the bills I mailed on the 5th of June got to their destination but for some reason the one for Corner Home Medical didn’t make it? As they say they never received it They have lied and stated untruths with almost every sentence they write How can I believe anything I am told by them?

This case has already been addressedI talked to [redacted] on the phone last week and agreed to refund her $for the additional weekTo my knowledge the equipment was in working order when she left my store, we exchanged the equipment at no charge different times which was delivered to her homeThis is an item that we normally do not deliverAs for the other refund she wants, we will not be refunding herWhen I spoke to her last week she said she just got off the phone with her insurance company and they said it was a covered itemI asked her what HCPC code she gave the insurance rep and she replied that she did not give them a codeI gave her the EHCPC and she said she would call her insurance company again and ask if that code was covered under her policyShe never called me back [redacted] has a BCBS Medicare replacement policy which will follow Medicare guidelines and cover criteriaMedicare does not cover this item which means that her BCBS policy will not cover this itemAs stated, I did send her a refund for $60.00, but no further refund will be issued

I am one of the owners of Corner Home MedicalI spoke to MrJ and his insurance company yesterday about this issueThe fact of the matter is that his spouse signed the delivery ticket for the product in questionHe states that it just showed up on his door step and had no clue where the product came from or how long it was on his door stepHe also states that he never received a receipt for the product, that it was not in the boxLike I said, his wife signed for the product and was handed a copy of the delivery ticket at the time of delivery on April 4th, Their insurance company processed the claim on May 26th, leaving a patient copay of $The customer received the bill in the mail on 6/1/MrJ called Corner Home Medical on June 7th, inquiring about a refund for the cushion, more than months after they received the product which is well beyond our day return policy I feel that we have already went above and beyond for this patientThey came into my Golden Valley store at the end of December and purchased a commodeThen they called us months later and said they had received a prescription for the commode and wanted us to bill their insuranceThis is not business practiceGenerally you need to have a prescription in hand at the time of purchase if you want to bill insuranceSo when MrJ came to us over months past when he received the cushion I denied his request to return due to our return policy and the fact that we had already went outside of our operating procedures previouslyAlso, this is not a commonly stocked product, this is a special order itemI cannot re-sell this product or return it to the manufacturer after it has been in a customer’s house for over months In this letter MrJ states “I had no idea where the cushion came from.” MrJ could have very easily called Merwin Home Medical, where he has received numerous other items, and they could have told him where he received the cushion from considering that Merwin Home Medical and Corner Medical have been the same company starting on July 1, called Corner Home MedicalIt also states on the EOB (explanation of benefits) that the customer received from his insurance company that Corner Home Medical was paid for the productHis spouse also received a copy of the delivery ticket that she signed MrJ also stated that he had sent in his copay for the commodeFull payment was never receivedYesterday during my conversation with him and his insurance company I asked him if he looked at his bank statements to see if his check was ever cashedHe replied noSo he is pointing the finger at Corner Home Medical before he even did his own researchDuring our phone conversation he assumed that one of my employees had actually took his check and put it in the shredder instead of cashing itThe refund check he did receive was for $42.66, which is the difference of what he paid for the commode minus the outstanding balance on the account which is very common practice to not refund people when they still have an outstanding balanceAlso MrJ has been verbally abusive to my staffThere are numerous notes on the patient account about my staff ending the phone call due to the tone of voice and words used during their conversations with MrJ Everything Corner Home Medical has done has been fully within the rules, policies, and contract with MrJ’s insurance companyHis insurance company said it is within my right not to take a return and refund Mr*** for this instanceIf MrJ would have approached this in a more professional and timely manner I am sure we could have worked something outInstead he immediately became verbally abusive, using slander towards Corner Home Medical, threating us with the Revdex.com, the Attorney General, and suing us in courtAfter all of this Corner Home Medical told him that it is his right to do so If you have any further questions please feel free to contact me Thanks, BOB *** BA, CMCO CORNER HOME MEDICAL BOARD OF DIRECTORS DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS ***copied and pasted from email

insurance. Mr. [redacted] wanted a full refund even though he was going to have a co-payment amount from his insurance. He indicated he would pay his co-payment amount later. The Customer Service Representative told Mr. [redacted] that she would send in a refund request form. This was on June 7th. On June 9th a Customers Service Representative called Mr. [redacted] to let him know his refund was processed and was applied to the outstanding balance he owed totaling $117.29. This left a refund of $42.66. The ROHO cushion was not left on his porch. We have a Sales Order clearly signed by his wife on April 4th. He knew the ROHO came from CHM. home. This is an item that we normally do not deliver. As for the other refund she wants, we will not be refunding her. When I spoke to her last week she said she just got off the phone with her insurance company and they said it was a covered item. I asked her what HCPC code she gave the insurance rep and she replied that she did not give them a code. I gave her the E0118 HCPC and she said she would call her insurance company again and ask if that code was covered under her policy. She never called me back.   [redacted] has a BCBS Medicare replacement policy which will follow Medicare guidelines and cover criteria. Medicare does not cover this item which means that her BCBS policy will not cover this item. As stated, I did send her a refund for $60.00, but no further refund will be issued.
