Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 8, 2016/04/07) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I have already contacted Cornerstone Medical. They have passed me on to several people all who did not have authority. Finally I spoke to Matthew G**, office manager, in the "office". His response was "it was the insurance companies fault". Interesting since the billing and coding is started at Cornerstone. I asked to speak with his supervisor he told me they don't take personal calls. I thought this was a business issue? He gave me a number to another location. I am tired of being passed around and not having this charge removed. Today I received a call from a rotary system I waited for a person to speak but the system requests information as if I made the call. Nothing can be resolved this way. None the less, there is no sign this can be resolved satisfactorily by speaking to them directly.
Final Business Response /* (4000, 12, 2016/04/20) */
The coding and billing for services provided have been audited twice for accuracy. A detailed letter of explanation has been placed in the mail today to the customer. Physicians must accurately document and bill for the services they provide to the patients. Contractual obligations with insurance companies prohibit physicians from providing services and not charging the patient. Benefits covered by insurance plans vary by the plan. The details of the letter contain PHI and cannot be shared on this site. the full explanation has been mailed to this customer. the billing and coding for services rendered was found to be correct.
