Renting From Greystar has been the worst mistake, I HAVE EVER MADEThe staff is discriminating, rude & have no problem not giving their residents the proper customer serviceI wrote a letter to Corporate Office but I doubt I will hear anything backBelow is the letter that SentEnjoyFirst of all, I have a month old service dog, she is an emotional support dogI received a lease violation due to extreme disturbance which is hard to believe when I have had several of my neighbors tell me what a good dog she isSo when I brought to the managers attentions about several other dogs including a pit bull (which I know is on your list of unauthorized animals in apartments), she told me that that dog was none of my concernIf my dog is any of my neighbors concern, why is it that a Pit Bull living in my apartment complex or the dog that doesn't stop barking everytime I walk out of my apartment or how about the two (2) French Bull dogs that pee out side my door every morningHow are none of those my concern? I even asked the manager if it was cause I was white and they were black because for your management staff to take a compliment against my service dog that is only outside to use the bathroom and is leashed at all times but won't listen to my concern about the other dogs, I feel that is discriminationNot mention against the Fair Housing Law, that you management staff loves to throw in my faceSecond, Everytime I have a maintenance worker in my apartment they are carefreeLeaving doors unlocked, leaving lights on all over my apartmentand tracking in dirt and not picking it up Last time I checked your Maintenance men do not pay my electric bill and I would like if they could somewhat respect my home and turn the lights off when they are doneI work 8-Monday thru Friday and am very careful about what is left on during the day when I am not presentI feel they should have the same respect for my homeNow if you want to start helping with my electric bill leave the lights on all you want everytime you enter my apartment, but I don't see that happeningSo I feel a conversation about respect needs to be had with your employeesThird, your management staffs time lines suckPlain and simpleI received a notice on my front door last Friday regarding parking and although I was very happy that they were finally taking care of the parking situation in this apartment complex, I was told to have all parking permits picked up by that FridayWell, I didn't receive the notice till that Friday and I was at work throughout the dayTell me how that was enough notice to let me arrange to get one? It wasn'tIf you management staff, is going to be putting out notices on my door with something that important I feel I should have a week notice to make the proper arrangementsWhich brings me to my next issue, Your management staff cashed a stale check on me and now I am no longer allowed to bring in checks but have to pay rent on a money orderNow was it my mistake for writing the wrong year on it.? Yes, absolutelyBut your management staff should of caught it since I turned it in on the 2/3/and didn't get an notice on it till 2/9/You're telling me in the days you had that check not once did your management staff happen to look at the date to make sure all information was accurateBecause when I was in the leasing industry, and I collected rent - the date was one of the things I was instructed to look atPure laziness and unprofessional if you ask meFourth, your apartment complex is a disgusting messTrash is always everywhereThe dumpsters are ALWAYS OVERFLOWINGThere is not a morning I leave for work that there isn't some sort of trash on the ground, I have pictures to prove it and would be happy to provide themAs well as the exit gate never is closedThere have been serveral times that I have almost gotten into an accident due to cars choosing to enter in thru the exit instead of the proper gateWhen brought to your property managers attention, I was told there was nothing she could do about itSo if that is the case and I do get into an accident I will bring an lawyer into the situationEveryone in that apartment complex is given a key tag, everyone in that apartment complex is given a code to enter in thru the proper gateI expect that to be enforcedNot only that, but you have "enforced" this parking permit thing or you will tow at the owners expenseDo I understand this policy? Yes and I very much so respect itBut please explain to me how every morning I leave for work or I come home from hanging with friends and there are cars in the parking lot without a parking permitWere they not suppose to be towedFifth, I can NEVER get a hold of any one in the officeEVERI call to ask for a work order or a question regarding living at this apartment complex and no one has ever available to answer the phoneBut damn, when they want rent they are quick to send out eviction noticesNot to mention, when I was in leasing, the weekend of rent there was ALWAYS a manager in the officeYour management staff never seems to be thereHeck, there was solid week back in November both your property manager and assistant manager were out at the same timeWhat if there was a major issue? I am not sure how you run your complex's but it isn't with professionalism that's for sureFinally, my rent changes on a monthly basisLast month it and now it was this monthWhen looking at the break down of the rent, there are bunch of hidden fees, I did not agree tooI am not quite sure why I pay a $fee for trash, at least at my last apartment complex I had valet trash*** the apartment complex can't even get the dumpster emptiedSo please explain to me why I am force to pay a $fee for something that is NEVER TAKEN CARE of

Greystar Management for the Mosaic wrongfully and illegally assessed a charge related to carpet replacement that was unnecessary since it did not require replacement It was covered the entire time during the lease by an area rug Greystar then libelously reported this charge as a collection to the three national credit bureaus as a collection account This malicious and intentional act has adversely affected my credit report

Not allowed to walk through with management at end of leaseWent on last day of lease, and turned all lights on to assure workingDid not see any trashI was well aware of potential exhorbanent fees to be charged No scratches or marks along painted bedroomNew paint decision by management likely do to wear and tear wear and tear We have photo documentation of condition when we checked out

In June I checked my credit score and saw that Greystar/Olin Fields has turned me into collections(I moved out in September of last year)Before I pay the $they submitted to collections, I would like to know what it is forI contacted Olin Fields and they said Greystar is no longer the management company for the complex and they do not have my records any moreSince June 20th, I have left messages with Greystar and emails with [redacted] @greystar.comThey do not answer their phone or their emailMy mother, my sister, my daughter, the movers all saw the apartment when I moved outAdditionally, so did my neighbors who were kitty corner to my apartment on the same floorThey were considering that apartment for their growing familyWhen I left, I was on good terms and my apartment was left in good/very good conditionWhich was not how it was when I moved in with broken drawers in the bathroom, light bulbs not replaced and fleas in the carpetFor those most part, those were manageable things because the apartment was cuteAnd I am only assuming the reason I was turned in to collections was because of the condition of the apartment as I was in compliance with the terms of my lease and had no outstanding billsOlin Fields and Greystar had my cell phone, my daughter’s cell phone, my mom’s cell phone, my work phone, my new address and my email address (work and personal)… but I did not hear from them again after I turned in my keysAlso, I moved into another Greystar Management complex, Rock Creek Landing in Kent, WAWhich I understand as of last month is also no longer managingThis worries meAnd it should worry anyone else who is in a Greystar managed complex

After moving out of my first apartment in this same apartment complex I was promised my security deposit days after my move out date (September 22, 2018) after not receiving it I called the front office frequently and got the run around from all employees about the depositI then went to Greystar who is the property management for my apartment complex (The Heights at Converse) and spoke with the manager over this apartment complexOn the first week of December she stated the check would be cut and mailed by the next weekI waited and waited and never received the checkOn December 16th I emailed to check the status again, the manager stated she will look into it againShe then told me the check was cut December 6th but I never received anythingI emailed again on December 26th to check staus and she did not get back to me until December 31st and asked “Just checking to see if you have received?”, I replied back no and I replied noTil this day I have not received word on

Upon our moto Alamo Hillside, we became over-whelmed with the amount of maintenance issues that were associated with our unitWe began to experience a lack of hot water in our shower, infestation of roaches, broken light fixtures, unsecure windows, lack of proper HVAC coolingWhen we began to address the complex and began to submit work orders, the maintenance team did not show any timely manner or any regard for our rights and well-beingThe work orders took an average of days to be completed before having the issues arise again within the next couple of daysThe lack of proper HVAC cause our monthly CPS bill to be 50% higher than it would be per month based on our family and usageEven though we are currently disputing this issue with the apartment complex, they have taken no actions to correct this issueThe infestation of roaches has not bettered and continues to grow in our unitThe apartment complex has several times, attempted to as fees to our accounts that w

Moved out paid Have form stating that we owed zeroToday I receive a collection notice for I would have been fine to pay the bill but I believe it was very poor business practices to send to collections before they even gave me a chance to pay the billThey affect my credit and future by sending this thru for no reason and with no contact to me at all Sounds like that should be illegal to me

This complaint is regarding termination of a lease with *** Apartments - *** ** *** * *** ** ***I had a move out date of Febon the lease however they continued to charge me additional rent after I moved out
On the big move-out day I was told by agent *** that "if it was after 6PM and the office was closed I could leave mailbox key, gate key on counter, lock the doors and throw away the key (as they have a copy & re-key anyways)
This is exactly what I did on 02/04: left keys on the counter, locked door and leftI assumed the lease had ended per the date I signed on contractNot to mention I spoke with them numerous times in person, and kept them in the loop about the entire situationAfter I moved out I received call from *** on 02/06, he left a quick voicemail saying "they were wondering if I had moved out"That's it folks
That was the only notice I got that I was actually being billed for an apartment I was not living in, nor had I s

*** *** *** management provided in adequate oversight of the property during my months of residence there, *** *** *** *** * ***Elevators didn't work properly, an alarm went off very often, street lights didn't work, homeless and intoxicated people were sitting on the step inside of the *** buildingThe grounds were filled with trash and canine wasteI complaint to the property management on several occasionsThe maintenance staff was rude and verbally aggressive towards my dog and meOn the last day of my stay, April 30th, several personal items of value $300-were stolen from me from a laundry room on the 4th floor of *** BuildingThe theft occurred around 2:and 2:31/PMWhen I went back to my apartment to get a rolling cart for carrying my items to my car from the laundry roomI called the leasing office and their reply was that is a public place and they cant do muchI called a local police department and reported the theftThis report

I agreed to a contract to be let out of my leaseI kept calling and checking my balances online and it said $0, after paying a $concession fee and other feesdays after the contract was complete, I received a bill for almost $over what I owedI attempted to call the manager and was only "allowed" to speak with a really rude assistant managerShe proceeded to tell me that I had the "privilege" of living there and that the $was a left over amount from March where I didn't pay the right amount of rentI wish I had a way to show all of my billed statements from themI usually paid rent early, around the 30th but there was times that I did pay rent on the 3rd and it NEVER showed a balanceI asked why the balance was never brought to my attention and she said it was because they weren't going to "look for me" for $and I asked "but now you are?" She became very rude, we exchanged words then and she hung up on meIf I would have had the chance, I wanted them to dig

This malicious and intentional act has adversely affected my credit report

The Receivables department is unwilling to listen to my concernsEven after attempts to reach out to management I can not reach someone that can helpI can not get a full explanation of charges or what they can do to address my concernsI had all carpets professionally cleaned but am still being billed for all carpets to include both bedrooms and closetsI have stated that I will pay for the room with stains but I should not be charged for the entire apartment replacementI also had water leakage into my garage that was never fixed and no one has addressed that issueThey said if something would have happened to our vehicle we would have had to make a claim on our insurance for our vehicleI find that hard to believe that negligence on the communities behalf to fix the problem would be my problemThey are trying to charge for everythingEven a fridge cleaning when it was merely residue left in the fridge after cleaningThis is the cleanest we have ever left an apartment but s

I was in the process of obtaining an apartment at The Heights at Converse on Kittyhawk roadI was told that I needed to submit a deposit of $to hold the apartment, I paid my deposit on September 19, At this time no paperwork was filled outBefore I was scheduled to move in, I ended up finding a roommate and we decided to room together in a townhouse for cost reasonsI emailed them on September 24th and thanked them for the opportunity to be able to move in but that I would like to forfeit my apartment and I specifically told them who I gave my deposit check too and for them not to cash it
On October 29th, my account was overdrawn because they cashed my deposit checkI sent them an email immediately and called my bank to see what I could doThe property manager emailed me back and apologized for the mix up an for cashing my check, she asked for my new address because she said it would take weeks for them to mail itI've called two-three times a week trying to see why

Greystar has been passing me and my wife's personal information off to collection agenciesWe have received two notices from two different collection agenciesThe first agency was IQ Data International, and the second is National Credit SystemsThis is unethical and unnecessary since my wife has contacted Greystar several times to discuss the move out charges from Villas at Spring Trail in Pflugerville, TXI was referred to *** *** at ###-###-####He proceeded to not explain why he was release our personal information (ssn, address, etc.) to multiple agenciesThis is unacceptable because is compromises our personal information

*** *** of Greystar has declined our request for Januarys rentWe are in the middle of many issuesBelow is a copy of a letter I sent ***It will explain some of the issues
Dear *** ***,
I am a resident of Lamar Union in Austin TexasMy family and I have lived here since July of Since the day we moved in we have had nothing but problems and issues with this apartmentOur latest issue was black mold under our kitchen island and now our current issue is water damage and mold in our AC closetWe feel that this is not a safe environment
Today we were surprised with contractors showing up at our door unknowinglyThey are here to tear down the interior walls and address the mold issues in the area mentioned aboveAs you could imagine this is a huge inconvenience for me and my familyNot only do I work from home and my office space has been compromised but we also have a child with AutismHaving a child with Autism is challenging and any changes in h

On November 8th our Jeep Grand Cherokee was towed from Lamar Union Apartment in Austin Texas (owned by Greystar) and impounded at *** vehicle storage The Jeep was properly parked, had current tags and an easily visible parking pass Despite Lamar Union having good contact information we received no notice that our Jeep would be towed
When I contacted the towing company and requested the reasons the Jeep was towed and impounded they explained that it was dirty so they put a hour sticker on the Jeep and towed it after hours as instructed by the apartment complex After retrieving the Jeep I explained to Lamar Union management that the Jeep was dirty because the apartment complex was under construction and requested reimbursement of my expenses In a December 13th email the manager *** claimed it was towed because it had no front plate or registration sticker After we explained that dealer license plates were a single plate for the rear and a windows sti
