Review: This is WORST experience of my life! Never believe Cornerstone Monument. [redacted] & [redacted] are owners that work from home. Their physical and business address is 4[redacted]. I paid in FULL for my fathers headstone in Sept 2014 and promised by both [redacted] & [redacted] my fathers bronze would be here by Feb 2015. Every time I call [redacted] to check status she would take weeks to return my calls AND there was always an excuse of my fathers headstone why it's taking so long. She was either out of town, other families had to rush their markers, and factory is behind schedule, etc. ALways had an excuse.After investigation myself, my fathers headstone was ordered from [redacted] with a company in Utah named "Eagles Foundry" in June 30, 2015 (9 MONTHS LATER!!) and paid by [redacted]s credit card. August 5 is when contract was signed by [redacted] to rush order marker.A normal bronze headstone takes 6-8 weeks according to [redacted]. I have asked full refund back and they did not return my calls. Now I lost my money and it's an emotional stress. I have sent two letters to Cornerstone Certified mail and still no responseDesired Settlement: ON AUG 12, 2015, VIA TEXT, [redacted] ADVISED ME MY FATHER, [redacted] HEADSTONE HAS BEEN RECEIVED. YOU ADVISED ME YOU WOULD GET BACK IN TOUCH WITH ME - AFTER YOU SUBMIT PAPERWORK OVER TO LAKEWOOD MEMORIAL PARK. THEN THE NEXT DAY I PHONED LAKEWOOD PARK, SPOKE TO THE BRONZE CLERK AND ANOTHER 24 HR DELAY ON YOUR PART. ON AUGUST 14, 2015, I WAS NOTIFIED BY LAKEWOOD MEMORIAL EMPLOYEES YOU DELIVERED AND INSTALLED THE HEADSTONE. NOT ONCE, DID I RECEIVE A CALL FROM CORNERSTONE COMPANY. I WENT OUT TO LOOK AT MY FATHERS HEADSTONE LATER ON THAT EVENING. *HERE ARE THE DIFFERENCES THAT ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE AND NEEDS TO BE FIXED IMMEDIATELY:WE LIVE TOGETHER IN HAPPINESS WE (2ND WE NEEDS TO BE ON SECOND LINE) REST TOGETHER IN PEACEBRONZE IS NOT LEVELED HAS LEATHER LAY OUT LOOK. Review: Ordered a headstone for my mothers grave and have not received it and they are not responding. ordered sept. 6-2012.

My dad has paid 1/2 down and they said it would take up to 4-5 months. they would call us back at first but they have not responded back to us in over 2 months. my father and my sister and I have called over and over. Their phones have been disconnected. It has now been 10 months. We are very distrait over this situation. We really want our mom to have her headstone so we can pay our respects and start to recover.Desired Settlement: We would prefer to have the headstone that we have special ordered. If that is not possible then we would like our money back so we can get a headstone somewhere else.

Review: A contract was signed on 6/11/2013 for a bronze plate - "1992" - to be installed on the Sharbrough grave marker located at Oaklawn Memorial Park in Oakdale, California. Cornerstone has failed and refused to obtain and install the marker despite numerous requests by email and phone to do so.Desired Settlement: It has been nearly 9 months. I request either immediate installation of the marker or a full refund.

Review: My siblings and I met with [redacted] of Cornerstone Monuments in Modesto, CA, [redacted] previously in Oakdale, CA, on September 26, 2015 to purchase a headstone for my stepmother. She said the headstone would only take a couple of days to carve but that the picture we wanted she would have to order. She said it would only take 2 weeks with a company she uses out of Denver, CO. My sister specifically asked her if they would have it delivered to the cemetery by the end of October and she said "yes, for sure by the end of October". It was not!! We paid in full... BIG MISTAKE!! Our check was cashed within days of course... So, I called and spoke with [redacted] on October 23, 2015 and she said the stone was done but she hadn't received the picture back yet. She said she should have it in a couple days. We went to the cemetery on Oct. 31st and the headstone was not there. I called [redacted] again on Nov. 20th no return call. I called Nov. 23rd. no call back. We called the cemetery on Nov. 23rd and they confirmed that the headstone was not there yet. I called again Dec. 1 and again today Dec. 2 and no returns calls as of yet. It's hard enough to have to deal with losing a loved one and then having to fight to get their headstone!Desired Settlement: We would like the headstone delivered as promised ASAP or a full refund if not delivered by 12/31/15.

Review: I ordered a headstone for my deceased husband in July 2014. I paid half up front. This was over $1000.00. I was verbally told 4-6 months. Later, I noticed that the contract showed 6-8 months. It has been 10 months and they won't return my calls. I started calling and asking questions in January 2015 At that time, they told me that the order could be rushed if I would pay the remaining balance. It had already been 6 months so I said no, I'll pay second half upon seeing the stone. Since that call, I've been in contact with them a few times and they've given me one excuse after another. In late Feb., they told me that they had made a mistake on the size and that they had to get it corrected. They quoted me 3-4 weeks. On the 4th week I called and they said that they had ran out on granite and they were waiting on their order...since that time they have not responded to me at all. I've left several voicemails. I have also had my attorney send them a formal letter asking them to either refund the money or produce the headstone. Still we've gotten no response.Desired Settlement: I want the headstone or a full refund of what I've already paid. June 9, 2015 will be one year exactly that my husband passed away and I would like this resolved before that time.
