This is my 4th time trying to respond to this complaint, for some reason I have had issues sending thisNow lets talk about Mrs***, she has been coming into my shop for several years now, that afternoon when she came into my shop with her Ford Explorer, she received a full service oil change and had mentioned she has been hearing her brakes grindingMy employee *** noticed that the brakes needed replacement and Mrs*** agreed to have him perform the jobIn the process of performing the brake job, *** noticed that the brakes were metal to metal which was causing the grinding noise, this is also when Mrs*** was informed that she also needed new rotorsl, *** ***, was in conversation with Mrs*** in my lobby and l was explaining to her that we had this occurrence with many cars in that same week and that those jobs resulted in needing new calipersAs quick as I told Mrs*** that, *** waved me out into the bay area of my garage and had shown me that the pin in her caliper was FROZENI brought Mrs*** out to explain this occurrence to her, I also showed her the rotors and brakes that were previously on her carMrs*** started to get upset and was acting as though I was trying to sell her something when in fact I was not, Mrs*** should know better, that is not how l run my businessMy best interest is always in the customer and to make sure that they completely understand the job being done on their vehicleI asked Mrs*** is she wanted to call her husband or have her husband come up to the shop so it could better be explained to him, she refusedShe also refused to put the recommended new calipers on her truckl forewarned her of the consequences of driving with bad calipers on new brakes and new rotorsMrs*** then told me she was going to take the car to her mechanic, which confused me because she was currently standing in my shop receiving services on her carI thought that l was her mechanicl was upset that she was upset so I tried to heat up the pin but it was FROZENI I advised *** to write on her receipt that the calipers were frozen prior to the brakejob serviceMrs*** left the shop aware of the dangerl had just explained to herI also have live 24/cameras inside and outside of my shop, my camera feed will be able to prove Mrs *** was not only informed by *** but also by meWithin the next two days Mrs*** went to a mechanic around the *** from my shopThis mechanic performed the job on her car FIRST, then he decided to call me and tell me to give Mrs*** her money backMost good mechanics will call the mechanic who previously worked on a car when there are problems occurring, especially regarding that the car received brand new brakes and rotors TWO days priori told this man "he damn well knew not to do the job on her car," so if damn is a curse that I am guilty of cursing on the phone with himThis mechanic coached her wrong and took Mrs*** for grantedMrs*** then stated that my shop put the wrong rotors on her car and that is why her brakes went wrongYou CANNOT put the "wrong" rotors on a carFrom *** *** Quick Lube, Mrs*** received what she paid for, new rotors and new brake pads and she left my shop that day knowing that her calipers were frozenIf there is anything I can do to assist you, please don‘t be hesitant to call!
