I had this insurance for my family's two cars for yrFortunately, I never had to make a claimHowever, when we changed to another insurance company due to better rates when combined with our apartment insurance, they notified the DMV that we cancelled the policyOur cancellation request clearly states that we were changing to another company and the name of the companyNow, the DMV has suspended my car registration for not being in compliance with insurance regulations, even though I have maintained continuous insurance coverage and I am getting pulled over by the police and threatened with jail/hearings/and loss of care and plates
American Commerce Insurance Company, please consider being a little kinder to your insureds Maybe this is something all insurance companies do as a punishment for changing companiesIt is just not rightLet this be an FYI for others
This company sent me a non-renewal home insurance letter They listed claims made in years One of the claims they never paid out on Three of the claims were weather related (hurricane, flood and ice dam damage) They are unreasonable to do business with They over-insured me I am better off without them; better rates and service with another company Their local agents are rude I enlisted them through AAA Shame on AAA for supporting them
