Review: False representation of company services and failure to provide contracted services to prepare corporate minutes
Corporate Records Service also known as Corporate Minutes Services falsely represents their services as preparing corporate minute documents which are necessary for compliance with corporate law. Their mailing is titled, "Notice of Corporate Compliance Requirements," lists CA code SEC.9510, and is presented with a symbol very closely resembling a federal eagle. Clearly, they are creating the impression that they are a government body that processes filing of corporate minutes.
However, after sending in the payment of $129, there are no further minutes provided, no services are rendered, rather repetitive mailing requesting more money for nothing are sent.
Outrageous scam that needs to be stopped.Desired Settlement: Cease mailings that falsely represent your company as a legal entity providing document and minutes services.
Refund $129 to [redacted].

Business' Initial Response
We apologize for any confusion. It is deemed necessary by the state that all corporations actively doing business within the state to retain certain documentation regarding annual corporate meetings. The documentation includes current corporate officers, directors and shareholders. This needs to be done on an annual basis. We are a third party document preparation service that prepares all of the necessary documents to fulfill that obligation. This same service may be obtained from an attorney or accountant but generally for a higher cost. We are not a government agency and do not have a contract with the government to provide this service. This is stated clearly in bold throughout our mailings. Our company is NOT known as Corporate Minutes Services and we have no affiliation with any other entity by that name. Our records indicate that we have not done business with or have any orders placed for [redacted], (same address as above), so no refund would be due. We have added [redacted] to our Do Not Contact list so that future mailings will be halted. We do regret any misunderstanding or any inconvenience that may have occurred.
Business' Final Response
(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
Review: I recieved a very official looking form from Corporate Records Service asking for "Annual Minutes Requirement Statement".
They use predatory marketing techniques to make new business owners feel that they will default on something if they do not respond by a certain date and pay a fee of $125.00. I fell for that scam and payed the $125.00 fee. Unfortunetly they cashed the check by the time I found out about the scam.Desired Settlement: I want them to Refund the full amount of $125.00 I payed.

The letter they sent was to [redacted] Inc. and it had our old address [redacted] St [redacted] XXXXX. As far as book(s), we have received nothing. We would like our company on the Do Not Contact list but do want our refund processed.
