Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.In response to Mr [redacted] response, my complaint is that this was not the vehicle in which I reserved online (explicitly stated "minivan")I would not have reserved this vehicle if it was not a minivanMy extended family (adults, including elderly, and children) travels frequently and I ALWAYS rent a minivan for our tripsIt was clearly stated on the website and therefore did not think that I would receive anything other vehicle than a minivanAs a matter of fact, I called the Buffalo location a week beforehand to verify the reservation and the person at the facility verified that yes, a minivan reservation was made and that all was set for the trip.This issue came apparent when I arrived at the rental location and I voiced this issue to the sales person at the deskAfter being told that there weren't even any Kia Sedona's in stock, the sales person asked for assistance from the managerThe sales manager did try to help and call a few rental locations for minivans but due to it being July 4th, there were no minivans available in the areaThere was a passenger van but the cost was over exorbitant (over $1,000)After the sale manager spoke to the manager, he said there were no minivans and all he could do was to offer an additional vehicle at an additional costThis was not an acceptable solutionFor context, we had a family reunion event in Niagara Falls that we had to attend that evening and since we had to be on the road, there was no option but to try and fit people with accompanying luggage into the Dodge JourneyThis is where the manager came outside to see if he could help but did NOT offer a vehicle at no costWith time being short, I had no time to address this furtherEven if the Journey was extremely uncomfortable, I had to get the family to CanadaThis was in no way indicating that I was happy or satisfied with this experienceYes, I did rent/drive the Journey for the entire trip as I was traveling in Canada but again, I had very little choice and I was very far from being satisfied.The response from this company is very disappointing and has the arrogance to imply that I could be satisfied with this experienceThis is the worst rental experience I've had and having seen the operation firsthand, I am not surprisedThere is very little professionalism in its processes, facility, communication, and how they treat their customersIt appears to be a family run business with little regard to providing excellent customer serviceI have never received this type of service at any rental car companies - [redacted] , etc.I am requesting a refund for this car rental Regards, [redacted] ***

In response to *** *** complaint, we would like to respond by stating that Mr*** reserved a passenger vehicle and on the website it shows a 'Kia Sedona or similar'Thesimilar vehicle is a Dodge Journey which seats passengers comfortablyWhen Mr*** checked over the vehicle,
his complaint was that there was not enough luggage space andwhy he was not receiving a Kia SedonaI explained to him that online it stated Kia Sedona or similar since he booked the reservation on a 3rd party website and was notbooked directly with usMy colleague and I helped Mr*** fit all his luggage into the vehicle and was all able to fit in the trunkMr*** stated it was a tight fit which is when Ioffered another vehicle free of charge but the offer was declinedWe did everything on our end to accommodate MR***In the end he was never forced to take a vehicle whichhe did end up taking and using for the entire duration of him trip.Joe AOperations ManagerCorporate Rent A Car

It was clearly stated on the website and therefore did not think that I would receive anything other vehicle than a minivan. There was a 15 passenger van but the cost was over exorbitant (over $1,000). After the sale manager spoke to the manager, he said there were no minivans and all he could do was to offer an additional vehicle at an additional cost. This was not an acceptable solution.
