Install Date:March Invoice Number: [redacted] , Tried to charge unfair amount and denied customer I called Horizon Heating for installing a new Humidifier (Supply and install by Horizon) and Nest Thermostat (Install only)They quoted me installed cost of $ [redacted] for Humidifier and $ [redacted] to install the NestI was told that Nest does not take more than an hour to install especially because my home is new and it does have all the wires requiredThe technician that came was fairly inexperienced to the point that he had to call few people to figure out how connections should be made FROM Humidifier to the furnaceHe also did not have right tools to complete the job, so he had to call their guys and wait to get him sheet metal etcHe also struggled to find out how to install nestHe even didn't know that Nest install with Humidifier required PRO install and manual does not come with Nest and again he had to make calls to figure that out

Horizon Heating came out to do a Furnace & AC Service & Cleaning plus we had the ducts cleaned and the Dryer Vent Cleaned The crew did an excellent job completing all of the requested work in a very thorough manner They used a portable unit which worked really well - it had plenty of power to do the job Our home is located close to a green space with sometimes unwelcome pests - mice and voles With the portable cleaning unit used by Horizon, big hoses coming through the door or window were not used so we were able to keep the doors closed to keep the pests outside where they belong This was super We will definitely be using Horizon for our next service!

I am impressed by the proficiency, polite service, and thorough expertise shown by Horizon Heating Horizon was one of three companies I chose to ask for an estimate for replacement of my elderly Mom's furnace and hot water heater The initial estimate was thorough and educational Even though they were not the lowest price estimate, they were competitive, and we chose them to do the installation because it was clear that they anticipated everything that might present a problem at installation or inspection time, and I wanted to be sure that my Mom would have nothing to worry about We visited their showroom to be sure we understood everything about the estimate This allowed us to ask for the furnace to be elevated 8" to avoid future wet basement events When installation day arrived, they arrived on time, with sufficient people to get the work done that day Everyone worked hard and there was laughter amongst the workers as they went about their worktell me - when's the last time you saw happy workers? To me, that confirmed the other indications that they are a well managed company that I will not hesitate to recommend to friends The City Inspection passed without any problem or delay, and the equipment has been working very well through this very cold period (Nov/Dec, 2016) I'm very happy that we chose Horizon Heating, and my Mother sleeps better at night because she doesn't have to worry about the equipment I sleep better too because if something would worry Mom I know I could reach Horizon on the phone and get them to come out right away

My furnace quit working on evening of Oct 10,After wasting hours of time and sleep waiting for a competitor to return my desperate calls for help, I turned to Horizon.Within mins a service tech returned my call and began to assess preliminary situation over the phone.Because I had wasted so much time with previous competitor it was al;ready 4we arranged for a tech to come out 1st thing after regular hrs opening.( they were allowing me option to save on extra charges ) The tech called me at 8:05am and was at my place by 9:10-furnace up and running by 9:45am.That's what is called service, something lacking from so many other enterprises.Thumbs up to Horizon- starting from answering service,culminating at the well equipped /informed tech who showed up to my door " as promised "...The key to this whole scenario is " a promise kept "

Hi everyone
Be aware of Horizon Heating when you are looking for an HVAC or home furnace repairI already new what part needed to be replaced, yet I was still charged a service fee of $to assess what was wrong, then charged another $because the part I already knew was broken had to come in from Edmonton the next day
The best part is, one of the people I talked to there about my concern agreed that I shouldn't have been charged the install of $

On February 20, I had Horizon Heating come out because my furnace was making a funny noise They inspected my furnance and did a tune up, they guy could not find anything wrong with my Furnace April 4, my furnace quit working, it was degress C when I got home I phone the company & when I talked the the technician who called me back he said it sounded like the motor and there was nothing he could do that night If he came out it would cost $I was best to call back in the morning It was going to be -that night I called Atco they came out said it was the blower motor, got it going to warm up the house Horizon had checked the Blower motor Feb The next day I called another company who came out and replaced the blower motor would never call Horizon again
