Tell us why here...It should be noted that although Cortese did pull the customer's information, this information (as with any "Soft Pull") is reviewed only by Cortese Sales and Finance Management Team, no other agencies. A Soft Pull indicates that the credit report was never seen
by any other agency or banks, therefore not reported as a "Hard Pull". By checking his credit at that time our management team was also able to view the closeout balance remaining on the vehicle that he may have wanted to trade. All of these details are pertinent to the negotiations and selling of a vehicle Our Finance Manager did contact Mr *** and stated over the phone that we are a 3rd party provider (not a bank) and that we do not have the ability to remove a credit pull from a credit report, only a bank could do this. Also, we are required to document when and to whom credit information is submitted and per our files Mr***'s information was never submitted to a bank. We do apologize for the obvious impatience that was expressed by our staff on the busy Saturday afternoon when Mr*** began to raise his voice in our crowded showroom, demanding answers when our management team was involved with other customers. At a later date perhaps Mr*** would offer us the opportunity to revisit his situation and consider looking at purchasing another vehicle from Cortese

Today 5/2/2016, formal process has begun to remove Mr*** credit pull from Equinox on 3/7/2016. According to Equinox, this process will take 12-days. We do apologize to Mr*** for any inconvenience that this matter may have caused and do look forward to being of service to him in the future. Thank you

On June 2, our check *** for the $deposit was mailed to Ms***. It should have been received by her by this time.In regards to her other complaint regarding our search of other financial institutions, it is our policy that when a customer does sign a credit application
it allows us the option to run a broad credit check to see if there may possibly be other financial avenues that could be pursued to offer the best opportunity and possibly rates to our customers. In this case by running the credit report we did find that we were able to offer her a better rate which would have been less than one half of the rate that she finally did accept from Chrysler and would have saved her more than she received from the Chrysler Offer. In the meantime, we do apologize for any inconvenience that we may have caused this customer and would hope that she would realize that Cortese was looking in the best interest of our customer

Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. Regards, *** ***

With an  apology from the entire staff at Cortese and a nice conversation, [redacted] has agreed to accept our check in the amount of $355.73 and both parties now consider this Complaint closed.  Thank you for your assistance in this matter.  Marie B[redacted], Customer Relations...

Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. Please note that the current consumer credit bureau of Rochester did a soft pull and it showed a hard pull on my credit report from Cortese on 3/7/2016. I also received the notification from credit [redacted] showing the same thing. Please note I did get upset and raised my voice in the showroom when I was told they would not deal with this until the beginning of the month because they were closing out the months worth of deals. I welcome a conversation from anyone who is willing to be proactive in resolving this issue. Regards,[redacted]

The trade value ($2500)  and down payment ($200) were stipulations of the deal that allowed [redacted]l to purchase the loan for Mr. [redacted].  If there was no trade or down payment, all perimeters of the loan would have changed and would have created a higher payment.  In...

the case of a bank repossession, as the dealer we have signed with "no recourse" and  the dealer has no further obligation to the deal.
