There are several freeze plugs located on the motor This particular plug that was leaking was located between the motor and the transmission Therefore this repair required the removal of the transmission As you can see by the enclosed Invoice [redacted] the repair is labor intensive due to the necessity of having to remove the transmission As for the length of time the vehicle was here was due to the vehicle having been towed in and our ability to having to work it into our schedule around our previously committed appointments.In conclusion Cortese feels that the charges for this repair are justified

After again  reviewing this issue with the Service Advisor, it was stated that a $300 amount was never discussed.  It was always a $400 diagnostic charge at $99.99 per hour (x 4) to remove the transmission and to determine exactly where the leak was coming from.  The additional $600 charge was to repair the coolant leak which had been created by the plug leak and to also reinstall the transmission. Again, the labor to reach the $3.67 part is the major cost of this repair which,  keep in mind, could not be accomplished without the amount of labor to reach the replacement of the  inexpensive small failed plug.  Please know that the Cortese Technician that did the job is a Certified Mitsubishi Technician and all of the work that was done, was done by factory standards at our published labor rates and that estimates were pre-approved by Ms [redacted] Uncle, who was the contact person assigned to us by the customer.  Thank you.

Is not justified enough to me the necessity  to pay so much money in labor which initially was 1,069.20 (see attachment) for something that only cost them $3.57 (x2) when they told me it was going to cost me $300. Regards,[redacted]
