Cortland Chrysler Dodge Jeep Reviews (3)

Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.Everything I state that happened prior to my vehicle arriving to the Dealership has everything to do with the situation and the Dealership's claim about diesel fuel in my tank Before I left [redacted] to travel North I filled up with regular gasoline I was within 1/tank of gas when my vehicle broke down in Binghamton, NY I made it miles with regular gas I then filled my vehicle full of regular gas just prior to it being towed Please tell me how the Dealership's mechanics discovered diesel fuel at the spark plugs and also in the fuel tank? I have gas receipts and verification of those fuel purchases as well as confirmation from the Department of Weights and Measures confirming no fuel contamination The Dealership's claim of diesel fuel in my tank is unsupported and deceitful The invoice from the reputable shop that *** had my vehicle towed to shows that they got the vehicle running and the engine was making noise from the head area My conversation with the Dealership's Service Manager was not simply a "no start" as the Dealership claims I re-stated what the shop had discovered from running the diagnostics on it and mentioned the cylinder misfire describing the full issue The Dealership also claims they could not start my vehicle, however, how is it possible that my vehicle would not start, and the Dealership keeps claiming it's because of diesel fuel? My vehicle had no diesel fuel in it when it showed up on their property. On top of these facts, and despite what the Dealership claims, I was not told about there being apparent diesel fuel in my gas tank or even any of the other multiple items and processes they would need to perform/repair There is not one phone record of the service department calling me throughout my service period I have been and continue to be lied to by the Dealership on the course of action they took on my vehicle.Regards, [redacted]

We have spoken at length with MrCustomer and cannot agree to the way the events he outlinedtranspiredEverything that he states occurring prior to the vehicle arriving at our facility really more orless has nothing to do with usThe vehicle was written up for a no start, not for a cylinder
misfire. This information is on the original repair order and obtained from the customerIt is the technician'sjob to then diagnose and fix the issue causing the vehicle not to startMrCustomer acknowledged tome this is indeed what was relayed to the service manager during the initial conversation with hisgirlfriend which was the contact left with the vehicle. The vehicle had symptoms indicative of contaminated fuelMrCustomer even describes thosesymptoms accurately in his complaintMisfiring, running rough, stalling, trouble restartingThe vehiclewould not start when it was originally pushed into our shopSpark plugs were pulled to check for spark.Fuel was extracted and visibly contaminated judged by not one but two senior mechanicsIf during theinitial conversation with MrCustomer this was disputed the fuel would have been kept in a separatecontainer for him to come inspect himselfHe did not dispute this and we disposed of the fuel as pernormalI also explained to him that if we were trying to dupe him in any way we could simply poorsome fresh diesel and gas into any container and say it was from his vehicleThis would not proveanythingThe fuel system was flushed and damaged components replacedMrCustomer contends hewas never contacted about this but the phone records show several points of contactAlso if this werehow we operated I do believe we would have at least one complaint in the Revdex.com file which was opened11/7/2000, but the file is empty. The claimant still contends there was never anything wrong with his fuel or fuel systemIt is not magicthat when we cleaned the fuel out and replaced damaged components the vehicle ran again. The component replaced under warranty was a valve springThis would not have caused the symptomshe describesAny mechanic will back that up.Thank you

Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.Everything I state that happened prior to my vehicle arriving to the Dealership has everything to do with the situation and the Dealership's false claim about diesel fuel in my tank.  Before I left [redacted] to travel North I filled up with regular gasoline.  I was within 1/4 tank of gas when my vehicle broke down in Binghamton, NY.  I made it 310 miles with regular gas.  I then filled my vehicle full of regular gas just prior to it being towed.  Please tell me how the Dealership's mechanics discovered diesel fuel at the spark plugs and also in the fuel tank?  I have gas receipts and verification of those fuel purchases as well as confirmation from the Department of Weights and Measures confirming no fuel contamination.  The Dealership's claim of diesel fuel in my tank is unsupported and deceitful.  The invoice from the reputable shop that [redacted] had my vehicle towed to shows that they got the vehicle running and the engine was making noise from the head area.  My conversation with the Dealership's Service Manager was not simply a "no start" as the Dealership claims.  I re-stated what the shop had discovered from running the diagnostics on it and mentioned the cylinder 6 misfire describing the full issue.  The Dealership also claims they could not start my vehicle, however, how is it possible that my vehicle would not start, and the Dealership keeps claiming it's because of diesel fuel?  My vehicle had no diesel fuel in it when it showed up on their property. On top of these facts, and despite what the Dealership claims, I was not told about there being apparent diesel fuel in my gas tank or even any of the other multiple items and processes they would need to perform/repair.  There is not one phone record of the service department calling me throughout my service period.  I have been and continue to be lied to by the Dealership on the course of action they took on my vehicle.Regards,[redacted]
