I have had some issues with parts not being made correctly per detailed specifications provided in advance. After several attempts to get corrections made, and be compensated for doing so, I gave up and had the corrections made at my expense. Avoid dealing with this vendor, or at least pay in such a way at easily get your funds returned. Like paypal goods and services. Do not pay by check or money order. AND, get a written date of delivery. This will be needed to get funds back, if not met.

My Response, I warned Mr [redacted] that it would take some time to get the camshaft he ordered made...he said that as long as he was kept informed that he would be patientI did not give him a specific time that it would be done as there were two other suppliers involved that I had no direct control of their schedules I shipped him part of his order that I had on hand and he accepted thatThen he acted with no authority to call my supplier of the finished camshaft and canceled his orderI have since reordered the camshaft and it will be done in the early July time frame and shipped to him There is absolutely no attempt on my part to defraud Mr [redacted] ...he just needs to be patient like he said he would and his camshaft will be shipped Regards, [redacted] ***

Again, I paid the business the full amount for the camshaft in January Patience is one thing, but he clearly took advantage of my good nature When I did not get ANY results from phone calls and emails, except delay after delay after delay, I called the supplier, and the supplier informed me that NO ORDER HAD BEEN PLACED, AS OF APRIL 29, 2014, AND THAT HE HAD NOT RECEIVED AN ORDER FROM THIS PERSON IN OVER TWO YEARS WHO'S KIDDING WHO HERE? I want a full refund or we are going to court

I expected such a response...Mr*** is an impatient/unreasonable man...he special ordered a high quality performance camshaft for his Corvair and just because it is taking a few months to make he is unhappyIt is not stated on my website but I reserve the right to not give refunds on special order items...that is a customary business practice
Below is the email that he said he would be patient

Quality and customer service is not good. Specifically, roller cams, lifters, and rocker arms have not been adequately field tested and may fail. Customers should be prepared to try any products at their own risk.

Review: On or about January 10, 2014, I mailed [redacted] owner or representative of Corvair Specialties, a postal money order for the amount of $1000.00 for a deposit on a camshaft and roller lifters, which are parts used in Chevy Corvair engines. He said that it would take a little time to make one of these camshafts, and since it was January, I had no concerns. First his well at his residence was not working, so he had to have a well dug. Understood. All my phone calls were not returned in Feb./March. He would send me an email, and it was one excuse after another. After many emails, he informed me that the camshaft was going "be ready in a week or so", and this was dated April 29, 2014. I called the manufacturer who was going to "grind" this camshaft for Mr. [redacted], and he informed me that he did not have any current order in my name or Mr. [redacted]'s name, AND that he had not done business with Mr. [redacted] in over TWO YEARS. When I confronted Mr. [redacted] with these details, he stated that he was dealing with the owners' son. I personally checked with the owner's son, who gave me the same explanation that his father had given me. Then the owner of the camshaft company stated that it would be another 8 week delay, due to manufacturing issues. So that equates to getting the camshaft that I ordered in JANUARY OF 2014 BY AUGUST. Totally unacceptable, so I immediately emailed Mr. [redacted] and asked for a refund. He denied my request, and refuses to return my money. He stated that this was a custom order, so "no refunds." The order WAS NEVER PLACED AT THE MANUFACTURER'S PLACE OF BUSINESS. I simply want my refund. He also used abusive terminology and called me "stupid" for contacting the manufacturer. I'm so glad I did, because now the truth is out. His tactics are deceiving and he uses intimidation to attempt to get me to accept a part that he did not get manufactured.Desired Settlement: I sent Mr. [redacted] another check, requested by him, for a separate order for the roller lifters that are to be used for this camshaft. He shipped those and I have them in my possession. I want a certified bank check for the amount of $1,235.00. Once I get the full amount, I will then ship the lifters back to Mr. [redacted], since I will not need them for the camshaft that I ordered from another vendor.
