We have a notice on the door, the front door is locked and you have to call to be let in, for him to say he was unaware of our license situation is not true [redacted] ***Corvette CareRancho Cordova CA [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because: I also contacted the [redacted] , and his license had already been revoked before I brought my car in (Without my knowledge, as the business was still using the old license number on estimates) This business is not legally allowed to perform this work and has been accepting customers illegally BAR Case# [redacted] Work was shotty at best My car was being held hostage, and was delivered back to me in a worse condition then when it went into the shop

*** vehicle was brought to our shop with a severely damaged torque tube due to failed Couplers and driving the car on failed couplersRepairs where made to the vehicle and a Technician that is no longer with the company failed to replace the Pilot bearing causing the vehicle to have a squeal
when the clutch was in gauged witch we caught when the vehicle was thought to be ready for deliveryWe recited the issue lent *** a vehicle while we repaired his.*** picked up his vehicle and after he had the vehicle for a week he called and said its making noise againI told him to bring it in and we will check it outI drove the car and never heard any noiseHowever I was not satisfied on the amount of vibration on the drive train so I removed the torque tube and inspectedThe bearings where all intact but the torque tube had a slight out of spec tolerance*** came in and inspected the car and was shown the disassembled torquetube and was informed that we didn't find any failed parts at this time To correct the run out issue we ordered a new input shaft and reassembled*** was notified of the cost of the drive shaft and disputed a hr labor charge to remove and install the torque tube witch is normally a hour jobStill we continued to have a issue with the Driveshaft tolerance so I notified my Supplier and they where going to ship another one*** attitude then changed, we where going to accommodating to him on bringing his vehicle to another shop for Paint repairs but upon his attitude toward my shop and employees we decided it would be best for him to pick up his vehicle in person so we could have a signed Workorder on file, mostly due to the unreasonable attitude of *** knowing he would be seeking financial compensation for work preformed*** vehicle was left unassembled and will be delivered that wayI have tried to work with him and even offered to give him the $in inputshaft parts for freeAt this time we have done our due diligence to correct this situation and do not believe we owe him anything in compensation due to fact he would not let us finish preforming our services or replacement of a faulty part

The car was completed and all options and accessories were operational at time of delivery. The vehicle was shipped by customer hired carrier. Upon arrival the customer was satisfied with the car and was happy with the overall restoration. Days later  the complaints started to come in. Several...

of the parts from the car were reused to help the rising cost of the overall restoration. The Power window motors were operational at time of delivery, we tested the motors before installation and after assembly. Several additional reused parts including Door Panels, Windows, T-Top latches and door handles were reused on the vehicle and the customer is complaining about condition of the reused parts. With  the rising cost of the restoration the customer chose to reuse the parts and now is complaining about fit & condition. The car was only equipped with lap belts as common for a vehicle of this age, so that's how we returned it to the customer. Over the 2.5 years of the restoration the customer visited the shop to inspect the car. The paint work was done early in the process and was never a issue during the assembly. The door jambs are painted with more of the body color than the original paint job and this common on repaints and does not take away from the overall job. We held back $1,500 of the total cost of Restoration to the customer to make sure he was happy with the overall result. At this time and without any Estimate of so called customer complaints and necessary repairs this is all we are willing to refund back for the work preformed. We have already been granted by the customers Credit Card company as NO FAULT after two payments were attempted to be revoked, this was a unfair attempt as a estimate of so called repairs was never discussed or sent to me from any shop. We do not owe this customer anything, and sensible person spending this much on any product should have spent time to see the product and any complaints or concerns should have been addressed before the car was shipped.

I am rejecting this response because: The response from [redacted] at Corvette Care is just the same excuses for poor workmanship he has been giving me for months. I do not expect [redacted] at Corvette Care to take responsibility for the poor restoration work.  My Revdex.com complaint is just to give future customers some real feedback on the quality of Corvette Care's work.  This dispute will be pursued in the court system for final resolution.

Review: Corvette Care performed a restoration on my stock 1968 Corvette that costs over $50k and took over 2.5 years to complete. With in days of receiving my Corvette back I notified [redacted] at Corvette Care of a number of problems with the restoration. For example, the parking brake did not work, the power windows stopped working, the windshield wipers did not work properly, the factory seat belts were missing and the list goes on and on. [redacted] and Corvette Care has refused to work with me to resolve these issues, so at this point I am forced to spend more money to pursue resolution of this dispute through the court system.Desired Settlement: Corvette Care to pay for the required inspection of all of their work, repair of deficiencies found and all transportation costs for the car to be shipped. This cost is currently estimated at $8,500.
