Corvettes of Westchester Reviews (2)

Review: I have tried for 4 months to deal with Chuck M[redacted] at Corvettes of Westchester COW in good faith and have always been nice and respectful but it now seems I'm being ignored (multiple emails and phone calls go unreturned).

Here are the facts of my interactions with Chuck and Corvettes of Westchester...

On Friday, September [redacted] 2015 Chuck and I talked on the phone and I ordered the booster, the tuning package and a differential. My credit card was charged $3645.

On Monday, Sept [redacted] I called you back to say a diff install was more than I wanted to attempt and you agreed to refund me the cost of the diff. I volunteered to pay for Chucks time and a reasonable restocking fee without being asked to do so. At that point nothing had been boxed or shipped.

On Oct [redacted] I called and talked to Chuck and chuck indicated you had been too busy to get to your desk to process the refund.

On Nov [redacted] I called but Chuck was not available. I left a message asking you to call but that call was not returned.

On Dec [redacted] I called, left message, no return.

On Jan [redacted], 2016 I called, left message and you responded with an email to which I responded on Jan [redacted] once again asking for you to do the refund or send the diff.

On Jan [redacted] I called, no answer so I left a message with contact information. No response yet.

On Jan [redacted] I called, no answer so I left a message with contact information. No response yet.

On Jan [redacted] I called, no answer so I left a message with contact information. No response yet.

So, with that said, 4 months and no refund and no diff.

I purchased the mail order tune package which is supposed to include a reasonable amount of re-tunes for life.

I did get the AutoCal tuning device from Chuck and an initial tune.

I loaded the tune and captured the data logs Chuck requested and emailed them to him. Chuck is supposed to read the data logs and let you know if the tune is safe and if there is any room for improvement. To date I have not received a response to the safety of the tune as ascertained from the data logs, so I had no choice but to return the car back to the stock tune. Chuck no longer responds to emails or calls so any investment I made in tuning now seems to be out the window also.Desired Settlement: Please refund $2500 charged to my credit card for the diff that was never shipped/received.

Response:

The company has made a full refund and I find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved.

Sincerely,

Review: My problem began on August [redacted] 2014 with Chuck M[redacted] too Tune my 2001 Corvette after having engine performance work done at [redacted] in Knoxville TN ... I was introduced to Chuck M[redacted] over the phone thru a friend of [redacted] by the name of Charlie D[redacted] and was lead to believe he was the best ... I was charged a total of $1210.00 that was useless ... Chuck M[redacted] could never get the car to to run even close to rite ... I was supposed to have a lifetime tune involved in this price ... could once every several tries get in touch with him and he would send me a program that was no better than the one I had and he finally told me I was costing him money and taking up to much of his time ... after taking the car to a professional Tuner in Georgia and seeing how professionals work and needless to say the car is perfect now ... at that point I seen he had taken me for my money and sent Chuck M[redacted] several e-mails prior to this complaint and finally found out he had blocked me as spam although I had paid for a lifetime Tune instead of handling this in a professional manor ... I found out thru my dealings with him that he is slick operator and a smooth talker.Desired Settlement: I would like a full refund of my $1210.00 that I spent that was totally useless to me ... a breakdown of the $1210.00 ($725.00 on 08/14/2014 for the lifetime tune ... $365.00 on 09/**/2014 for a EFI Live Tuner used to move Engine Tunes from the computer to the car which is useless to me with any other Tuner due to the fact it is registered to Chuck M[redacted] ... and $120.00 on 02/**/2015 called a restocking fee for headers that I gave him a $1800.00 deposit on 12/**/14 and never got no kind of receipt for and after I finally got tired of his long stories and was lucky enough to get in touch, he refunded $1680.00 on 02/[redacted]2015 of the the $1800.00 ... to my knowledge the headers were never ordered due to no kind of receipt verifying the order.
