Cost Less Garage Door Repair

Review: Cost Less Garage Doors came out to service my garage door opener and charged me $99.95 to turn a screw about a quarter of inch, when it didn't open again they said I needed to pay an additional charge of $66.95 to look at it. I asked a friend to look at it and he said the motor was completely shot and irreparable. If the original repairman had taken the time to look at it, he would have known that. When I have called to ask to resolve this issue by giving me a refund they simply hang up on me. They have since called back, but said they would not refund the fee, because they did come out. The fact that they did not resolve the problem was irrelevant. As a senior citizen on a limited income I count on my service representatives to have integrity and to be honest. This firm is lacking on both counts. I suggest no one use this service. If you know who I can contact to resolve this please contact me.Desired Settlement: I WOULD LIKE THEM TO CREDIT MY CREDIT CARD.

We actually went back 3 times and have found door needed more service. Gave her a 30 day warranty on first repair. Terms are on receipt.

She called back for 2nd repair past the 30 days, and when I told her what the charge was going to be, she became extremely upset. So the additional repair was

free as a courtesy. The repair was for a cable that had jumped. On the third call she had, had her neighbor come look at it and touch it -which voids the warranty anyway. Her neighbor told her that we did a

bad job and ripped her off-which is absolutely untrue. We came out to find the the gears were stripped. We couldn't touch it and wouldn't touch it because she had her neighbor doing work to it previously.

Then she and her family and friends filed numerous false reviews everywhere. They all called and threatened us. She would call at 11:00 at night!

When I called to offer her a partial refund she was angry and told me she would make my life "hell" if I didn't give her a full refund. I told her I couldn't do that.

I cannot and will not do anymore work for her. She and her family and friends have libeled us all over the inernet.

I will not be willing to give her any sort of refund now.

I am rejecting this response because: None of what he said is true. I called more then once since he never responded to my inquiry. They only came out to my home once, because when he told me I would have to pay for a second call I did not want to do so. I never called him past business hours. And I don't even know my neighbors. If his repair man had simply done anything,like look at the gears we would have seen they needed to be replaced. The entire response is false. I have since had it repaired by a reputable company (Sears). This guy is a liar and a con artist.
