Review: I hired Costello Paving to remove and pave my driveway. Paving of driveway was done well. The problem is the workers cleaned their equipment on the newly paved surface and left dirt lines all over the freshly paved driveway. When I first saw it I thought it would wash away. It's been a month now and it has rained and I tried to remove the dirt lines with a garden hose. Lines will not go away. I have tried to contact Mr. [redacted] Costello three times and left him messages. He does not respond back.Desired Settlement: I am asking that he have his men come back and remove/clean the dirt lines that are embedded in the new driveway.

We at Costello Paving did indeed pave his driveway on 10/4/13 and as [redacted] stated the paving job was well done. To the dirt, my men never cleaned their tools on the driveway asphalt tools are cleaned with diesel fuel not dirt. I told [redacted] the little streaks of dirt on the driveway came off the drums of the roller. this happens when the roller goes in the garage with water on the drums and picks up a little dust, dirt and little stone on the garage floor, this is common occurance it also happens if there is no garage and we have to park the roller on a paving stone walkway or patio. The sand that fills in the paving stones also gets on the drums of the roller. I told [redacted] that after the driveway cures he could seal it. Curing period is 90 days after driveway is paved it does bring us into the winter but in the spring we would be glad to seal it for $165.00 that's cost, or he could use someone of his own choosing we do reccomend an asphalt base sealer this will help keep driveway rejuvenated and looking like new.

I am rejecting this response because: The dirt lines on a newly paved driveway are not common. I have seen many driveways done with no dirt lines from the machines used. His men decided to clean their equipment in my garage then roll it onto the newly paved driveway, thus created the dirt lines that are still there today. Why do I have to wait to seal the driveway to get rid of the lines? They should hot have been there in the first place. Had his men cleaned their equipment on the street or at their facility so that they would not have to roll it on the freshly paved driveway the dirt lines would not have happened. This is not common at all!! I paid to have a driveway looking new again and they rolled their dirty equipment on it making it look terrible. I was also told by [redacted] that I had to wait one year to seal it, not three months.
