Wide ..n l gave $ 500.00 now l got to cut off 2ft x 32 ft. N throw away...which is costing me about $ 150.00 that is no good for anything...l dont recomond cotton state...unless you want to pay for a 12ft...and only get 10 ft...

filled out warranty form and emailed along with pictures. followed up with a second email the next week asking for conformation of receipt.no responseI purchased a storage shed made by cotton state barns from a local dealer back in 2006. The company offers a lifetime warranty on all treated materials against termites and fungal growth. Fungal growths have formed on the inside of the roof decking. I recently submitted a warranty claim form(9-2-2013) along with pictures of the damage, exactly how the company asks you to do. As of this date; Oct. 4 2013 the company has failed to even acknowledge my submission of the claim form. If my situation does not fall under their guidelines for warranty, that is fine, but I just want some sort of a response from the company so I can proceed to repair the damage myself so the thousands of dollars of equipment stored in the building does not get ruined.Desired SettlementI am seeking replacement of the roof decking and shingles.

I leased to own a shed from Cotton States Barns in 2012. The floor construction was of 1/2" plywood which they pieced together with about 20 small pcs., also the splits where the plywood meets together has NO blocking or joist under it which means than with any weight the floor begins to sag at the seams! I questioned this under their warranty program but never got anywhere. Also, as I made payments I noticed that even if I got the bill in the mail and immediately sent payment in (2 weeks early) they sat on the payment until such date that the posting showed it as late. That meant and additional $15 everytime. At the end of the lease they then use those late payments to deny the return of your security deposit! All said and done, the shed original price was$2,795 but when lease was completed they relieved me of $5,227.51 almost double purchase price. I would not recommend anyone do business with this legal extortion business!","neg-1

I have a 5 year warranty on my shed ..I have 2 leaks in my roof and after a year of calling and 3 attempts months apart to fix my roof it still leaks.I have contacted cotton state barns numerous times about two roof leaks on my shed and it takes forever for them to send a repairman out within the year that they tried to fix my leaks they have came out 3 times and attempted to fix my leaks ..The repairmen cant find signs of where its leaking from so they keep guessing and just patch where they think its coming in at ..The last time someone came by here was approx. 5 weeks ago and took pictures of my singles so he could match them and come replace parts of the shingles where he thought the water was coming in at ..Later that day he called me and said that he couldn't find the singles that matched mine and that he would get with Cotton State Barns about the singles and call me back the following week ,well that was almost 6 weeks ago .I called the company again to speak with [redacted] the lady that handles repairs but you cant talk to her they just tell you that they going to email her and that she will contact me ..Well in the year I've been trying to get this problem resolved she's only called me once :(im at my wits end with Cotton state Barns this is my last effort to try to resolve this issue before I take legal action .Problem date Apprx. March 2014Purchase Date 5-25-13Model:[redacted]Contract # XXXXXCustomer Account ID XXXXXXSerial Number [redacted]Payment Amount 6363.00 + TAXPayment Method - Rent To Own With 324.04 Deposit and 324.04 Per Month Desired SettlementIm wanting Cotton state barns to keep their promise of the 5 Year warranty and to come by and get my roof leaks fixed once and for all ..There is OSB sheeting underneath the shingles and OBS is not good to keep getting wet it will swell rot and create mold ..it will eventually become a heath hazard if this issue is not fixed !! they always expect their payments on time as agreed and I would appreciated the warranty work in a timely manner and for the problem to actually get fixed..Business Response It has been determined by our repair department Cotton State Barns will be replacing Mr. [redacted]'s roof since previous attempts to correct the problem have failed. Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)Cotton State Barns has came out on 8-13-2015 and put another layer of shingles on my existing shingles to resolve the leak problems. They have came out and roofed my building as promised and im satisfied with Cotton state Barns response. Now its pending inspection I have to wait for a few rain storms to ensure that the leaks are fixed. However since they re-shingled the whole roof im confident that it fixed the problem :)Thanks so much Sincerely [redacted]

Purchased barn, needed window repair before delivered, have made numerous attempts at getting company to fix and move building with no success. On April 16, 2015 I purchased a building from a local dealer who sales the Cotton State Barns. Due to excessive rain during the month, it was May before the building got delivered. It was delivered by a trucking company that Cotton State Barns contracts out to. Before delivery of the barn, apparently one of the windows had accidentally been shattered by the lawn care company that mowed the grass at the dealers lot. There was a white garbage bag taped over the window that had writing on it saying 'WINDOW ORDERED'. I brought this to the attention of the truck driver during delivery who told me at that time they would be back to fix it as soon as the window came in and supposedly noted it and told the person he was on the phone with. I had the barn set up in the spot my last building was in even though it was more than double the size. Not only did I notice the next day that the building was crooked but my neighbors brought it to my attention by telling me how bad it looked because of where it was placed (due to the size and the crooked of it looking from the front of my house). I waited about 3 weeks and finally got a call from Cotton State Repair Department about fixing the window. This was close to the end of May 2015. At that time, when speaking with a lady named [redacted] I asked for the building to be moved less than 30 feet from where it was placed. She told me of the $150 charge and I agreed. She said that she would have them move it when they did the window repair. I spoke with her multiple times over the rest of May and June trying to get all this done. She assured me that I would get calls from the trucking company that would do the work. Never any calls. I got the dealer I purchased from involved and he has done everything he can. I also called the trucking company and spoke with a guy named [redacted] who swore he had no idea what I was talking about. Apparently a lie unless Cotton State Repair was lying about turning in multiple work orders to do the repair and move of my barn. The most recent call I have had with them was Monday, 8/3, making this to have now been going on for over 3 months. The call was from Tully with Cotton State Repair telling me that I would receive a call this week from the repair man to fix the barn. She said that if I had not gotten a call by the end of the week, to call her back. I never received a call from anyone and when I called [redacted] back, she didn't answer. I left a voice mail just like I have numerous times before but she never returns calls. All I want is for Cotton States to do what they said they would do...repair the window that was broken before delivery of my barn, and move it less than 30 feet from where they set it up in my yard. I have already purchased the blocks for the footers and just need it moved. These barns and portable buildings are being sold by dealers everywhere and I don't understand why this company does not keep to their contracts. I am keeping to the one I signed by allowing them to take payment out every month. Desired SettlementI would like for Cotton State Barns to repair the broken window on my barn and have the barn moved at their expense do to the hassle and stress this has caused.
