Cougar Creek Cabins and Campground

August departure, written confirmation was emailed to him July 20, which also provided details of our cancellation policy, he was billed for sites August 23 in accordance with our booking, billing, and cancellation terms- I will email his confirmation email, which he was provided July 20 and advises him of the cancellation policy.To cancel his booking, (whether it be the first, middle or last day) he must provide days notice from the arrival dateHe did not do so. His party stayed August 23, and August He came into my office late afternoon (well past our check out time) and advised they were leaving that they had found another campsite. He asked for a refund, of the remaining nights August 25-27, I explained that I would try to rebook his site for him, and I would refund what ever I was able to re-sell on his behalfHe complained that the cancellation policy was not on our "contract"I explained what he signed was the campground rules and regulations, which are provided and signed on arrival, which details campground rules and regs and fees and finesCancellation policy is not on this document because once you have arrived you are days past our cancellation policy termsAt no time did he ever explain, that he was not happy with the campground or the sites, Or that he felt the place was a dump, or not like our photos, I understood they found a campground on the other side of Hinton, which was closer to Jasper. Our website pictures are the same as our camp area, so I am not certain of what he felt does not look like our website pictures? I am also not certain what he referring to as the statement "looked more like a dump". In addition, one of their party posted a *** review that was very poor, and neglected to write the truth in their statements, he was offered an opportunity to resell his 2 sites, which we are not required to do, we do this as a courtesy to our customers Mr*** certainly expected me to keep his site for him, for the five days when he made the booking, if I had sold any of his booking to someone else prior to arrival, he would have been unhappy, since I had to turn away other customers, because he had booked his site, he made a commitment to stay here, and I committed to his site booking, which he was also verbally advised of cancellation policy when we spoke on the phone. His guest has already posted a bad review, and not all campgrounds have the same cancellation policy. There are no grounds for a refund, as he did not provide the required days notice.Thank you
