Review: From the beginning of the project Mr. [redacted] was not doing what was supposed to be done for this kitchen remodel. While being very disrespectful and insulting and running up the bills on the project because of faulty planning around a 2 week vacation he had planned during this kitchen project, many mistakes were made and things were rushed for his benefit and a very faulty product was produced. From cabinetry not being flush, a chair rail being cracked, crown molding being uneven, to a cracked cabinet that only opens half way and cabinets being nicked up, this has been a nightmare. Looking me straight in the eyes telling me that the cabinet will only open half way and "thats just the way it is". While Mr. [redacted] was also the contractor on this project, many issues occurred with his contracting abilities. Cracked walls and a whole in another room had to be fixed because of work he had done in my home and he wanted me to pay for the repair but I refused. Mr. [redacted] would not listen to the details of the project from the beginning and refused to take down the ceiling and wall and had electricians come and put lights in which had to be removed and reinstalled after new dry wall went up because of refusing to take the wall and ceiling down in the first place. A rotting floor board was asked to be removed more than once while Mr. [redacted] jumped on it saying "it is fine" instead of just honoring the request. When telling Ed to contact the tile guy because of visibly raised tiles in my kitchen, I was ignored and a kickboard was placed right over the top of one. I was told to contact the tile guy myself. He had one of his employees come and put on one sloppy coat of paint and never scheduled the 2nd coat of paint and wasn't going to until cabinets and tile were in and in doing that cabinets and new flooring could have been ruined with paint. While working on my kitchen Mr. [redacted] broke my screen on my door, took it, and never told me. To this day he still has it and will not return it. I have asked Mr. [redacted] for a refund and for him to remove his cabinets. As of today he is still holding my money and screen door while I have not had a working kitchen since 1/6/14. Mr. [redacted] has used my money to pay subcontractors on bills I never got a chance to see which included many of the re-do's of errors he performed on the job. When contacting him regarding going over the bills, I am told "your toungue is done" and hung up on. I have never in my life been treated with such disrespect, especially from someone who is supposed to be a bussiness man.Desired Settlement: I want a refund of my money plus any charges on the sub contractor bills that were on there for his faulty planning and not doing the job that was requested of him. I also want my new screen back installed on my door like it was before he damaged it. Right now, it is stolen property.
