on may 14th of 2013 I purchased a jeep compass. did a car fax and was aware of the fact that it had been in an accidentmay 14th 2013 I purchased a 2007 jeep compass [redacted] the amount of 10,813. total loan amount 14,305.06 monthly payment 251.51 vin # 1J8FF47WX7DXXXXXX from country Hyundai in gfld mass. I was aware that it had been in an accident but being that I was purchasing from a dealer I was not concerned about that repairs and safety of the vehicle. since that date I have put a total of about $1,200 into the vehicle from parts that I assume should have been repaired due to the accident. yesterday I went to [redacted] in[redacted] to trade the vehicle in due to it needing more work than I can afford. when at this dealer they informed me that I would not get as much I expected because it was a totaled vehicle. I was never informed of this and nor would I know because the bank owns the title due to the loan. I did a car fax and it says no total loss reported and country Hyundai never informed us of this fact. we have contacted country Hyundai multiple times only to get the run around over the past year even once started a complain with the Revdex.com. but we are very busy parents and working full time and couldn't follow through. this time I want to finish what I started because we were wronged and I want them to make it right. Desired Settlementdue to us not being able to trade in or sell this vehicle for even close to what we paid. I would like a full refund of not just the vehicle price, but the full price of the loan itself.Business Response We are sorry to hear about your experience here at Country Hyundai. However, I had the chance to further review your concern. You recently were in the dealership on April 18th and discussed your concerns with our Sales [redacted]. We have noted that you also were in for service. We have attempted to contact you within the last week to see how your service visit was, but have not been able to reach you. We will certainly keep an eye out on a vehicle for you that fits your needs. If you have any further questions you can contact our [redacted], [redacted] at [redacted] or our Customer Service Representative, [redacted] at [redacted] Best Regards, [redacted]

Earlier this month, I went to trade in my Hyundai Sonata at Country Hyundai for a SonataI rejected the finance terms when the finance company called me as I had researched the company and found out they were not a reputable companyI never took possession of the SonataI still have my SonataLast week I received a letter from [redacted] who financed my Sonata stating that Country Hyundai paid off my carIt makes absolutely no sense that they paid off my car without me taking possession of the Sonata.I've called the sales manager a couple of times to demand copies of the paperwork from the sale of the carThe first time I spoke to him and advised that I had rejected the financing due to the reputation of the financing company, he said the company shreds the contracts and there is no no deal/saleI informed him that Country paid off my SonataHe said he would research it and get back to meHe did not call back, I've called and left messages for him without any response.I've submitted a complaint to the Attorney General's office for poor business practicesI've tried the corporate offices of Hyundai and they said they could not help meThey registered a "complaint" but that it is not something that is given priority, it's basically treated as if I submitted the same info via a survey.Product_Or_Service: Hyundai SonataDesired SettlementCountry Hyundai needs to give the title back to Wells Fargo and my car needs to get put back on the original financing through Wells.Country should also return my $deposit on the Sonata.Business Response We apologize for any inconvenience; however, you signed all pertinent documents to purchase the car so as a dealership our next step is to pay off your trade, so that your next payment is not late and it doesn't effect your creditWe understand you changed your mind and no longer wanted to purchase the vehicle due to the bank you were approved throughWe are more than happy to refund your deposit; but there is a process to get your loan back in placeWe have been working diligently on this and have been in contact with you to rectify thisI am under the impression this complaint was sent before you spoke to our office and started working with our mangerHowever, if I am mistaken and if there is anything else you need, please contact me to help you get it resolvedAt this point your deposit check has been mailed out to youI can be reached at [redacted] or by email at [redacted]
