The Country Inn Cottages have been in business for over yearsWe have a reputation for bringing in repeat customersThis guest was also a repeat customer.Upon his arrival, he contacted the front desk to let them know that one of the antler door handles had come unscrewed and his toddler had picked up that screw and placed it in his mouthThe clerk immediately asked if everything was okay; as the safety of the toddler was our first priorityHe responded yes, but asked that maintenance should come out and look at the issueHe then added that the battery to the smoke alarm was dead Because he was leaving for dinner, he was told that someone would be in while he was gone and check both issuesMaintenance arrived within the hour and secured the handle on the door and found the battery to the smoke alarm was just unplugged so he pushed it back inThe customer called back after returning to his cabin from dinner upset that maintenance had been in his cabin while he was goneUnderstandable, except he was notified someone would be there to fix the issuesHe continued to say that he had broken the handle to the showerThe shower was still usable at that point so it was agreed that maintenance would return the next morning to repairSometime during the night, the guest called again, leaving a message, stating that the towel rack had fallen and he needed fresh towels delivered before 8am because they had touched the floorThe front desk called him first thing in the morning to confirm and the guest immediately began stating that he expected 100% refund for the issues and that he expected to be moved to a new cabin and to not be charged for the stayIt was clear to the Owner at that point that we would not be able to accommodate a move for the customer so he was given the option to check out without being charged for the second nightThe customer became very combative and threatening when asked to checkout and an officer was calledBoth the officer and the Owner did a walk through of the cabin and nothing was found to be of hazard to any guestsPhotos were taken and the guest checked outAll of the issues reported to the office were immediately addressed by the Country Inn Cottages and were easy repairsWe attempted to make the customer happy, but when it became apparent we could not do that..we gave him the option to leaveThis customer has continued to harass the front desk with threats since this incidentWe appreciate all of our customers and make every effort to make sure everyone's stay is enjoyableWe hope readers will understand that this is one instance where the customer just could not be made happy

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: Some of them statements made in response to our complaint are falseCountry inn and cottages is not being truthfulThey have had multiple reviews on multiple sites posted about them about the same type of issuesAll of the issues were not prepared as Country Inn and cottages statedThese issues are documented in photos and video that my wife and I took and should be in the police reports that the deputy filedWe shoot the deputy and the owner all of the dangerous issues and broken items in the room that were not fixed because the owner refused to fix themWe did not break the shower handleThe shower handle fell off when my wife tried to turn on the showerIt has been broken previously to our stay and had been reattached to the shower with [redacted] ***When I asked the owner about this in a phone call he stated that it been broken before and it had been repaired with [redacted] and he would send somebody the next morning to fix it if we could just make do for the momentI gave them ample opportunities and made multiple phone calls about the issues and ask for them to please fix them and the owner only fixed two of the door handles and the smoke detector and he refused to repair anything elseWhen I asked for a refund and to be moved tthe owner evicted us and kept our moneyI was the one that called the sheriff's deputy to the lodgeCountry Inn and cottages are thieves and they commit fraud against some of their guestsWe will be pursuing this in small claims courtWe will be receiving the police report shortly at that point in time we will be sending a copy of that to the Revdex.com as well as pictures and videos if we are able it is necessaryJust because someone is one of the richest families in town does not mean that they have the right to do this to peopleAll that we want is our money back and a formal letter of apology and for them to admit that they liedI have not been harassing them I simply asked if they would please give me a refund and that they committed fraud against us and then we will be seeking justice in a court of lawAt that point I was told that if I continue to call and ask for a refund I would be sued for harassment Regards, [redacted]
