Review: Normally I wouldn't file a complaint against a restaurant for poor quality food and terrible customer service, but I contacted this company via e-mail on their website, but they never bothered to respond. On Sunday July 20, 2014 my wife and I ate at the Pueblo, Colorado location @ [redacted]. Our sever was rude and downright hostile. My sausage was completely cold. My wife's plate of French toast was a disaster. Nothing but a huge pile of cream cheese smeared everywhere. The main problem was the sausage. I had a touch of diarrhea for a couple of days. I'm certain it was the cold sausage. I would have brought this matter to the attention of the waitress, but she only came back to our table after we had finished and were leaving. I spoke to the cashier about the problems we had and her response was "you should have told your server". I explained to her our server was absent for the entire meal. We paid cash for our meal and never got a receipt for the meal. I had the Barn Buster and my wife had the blueberry French toast. The fact I got somewhat sick from the meal and the company didn't respond to my e-mail shows their contempt for the safety and satisfaction of their customers.Desired Settlement: We spent a few pennies under $27.00 for this meal. As stated above, I tried to talk to the cashier about the horrible meal, but she just ignored my complaint. I'm not trying to scam a free meal or cheat this business, I'm merely trying to let them know they have a serious problem when they serve COLD sausage and their wait staff has a serious attitude problem.

I am in receipt of your letter dated July 24, 2014 regarding a customer complaint at the Country Kitchen® restaurant in Pueblo Colorado. Please be advised that all Country Kitchen® restaurants are independently owned and operated, we are a 100% franchised system.

While I cannot directly offer any commentary on the incident related to this matter I will assure you and Mr. Pitts that the owner of the property will be contacting him regarding the nature of his concerns. The Country Kitchen Family is comprised of independent owners and operators who have taken a pledge to make each Country Kitchen® restaurant “A Place Like Home”. This particular location seats all of 98 guests, has an open floor plan with an open galley, there are no closed doors or hiding places where our “Country Gals” and “Country Boys” could hide so they could ignore our guests. A simple hand in the air or mention to one of the six individuals on the floor that day certainly would have done wonders to handle this matter. Having eaten all of the items ordered, not making a single statement to the Country Gal who took the order, pre-bussed the table, refilled the coffee and delivered the check … well you can kind of see where I’m going with this matter.
