Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/10/04) */
To whom it may concern;
It's too bad this customer was dissatisfied with her dress - we want all our customers to have the best possible experience.
The dresses in question were "fit and flair" dresses, which by their nature, are form...

fitting. It also means there's not a great amount of extra fabric to work with. We made this clear at the time they were ordered.
We have fittings ahead of time, and make sure that all our customers are satisfied before they leave the store. The bridesmaids in question were able to move freely, sit and stand, etc., in their dresses at their final fittings. At the time of they took the dresses, these problems did not exist, and we have signatures of bridesmaids to this effect. It's standard procedure to prevent things like this from happening.
As for the difficulty she claims with the seams, most of these were in areas that we did not alter.
The customer who wrote this showed up at her first fitting without the appropriate shoes, and insisted that we conduct the fitting despite the fact that this could affect the alterations. And while she claims the dress was too tight, this problem didn't appear until the second fitting - it fit correctly at the first.
The pictures she submitted, unfortunately, don't give any insight as to the cause of the problems, which bridesmaids had which issues, etc.
It's tough to address complaints she makes on behalf of others who haven't actually contacted us, but her acknowledgement that one of the bridesmaids gained "a few inches" is significant. Measurements on these custom-ordered dresses have to be precise, and a change of that magnitude would certainly affect the fit of the dress. Her assertion that "that shouldn't have mattered" is simply not the case.
We also take issue with the characterization of our staff as "rude" on the phone.

We're sorry the customer had a bad experience. But if the problems were caused by us, they would have come up during the final fittings. But at that point, all the customers she mentions were satisfied with their dresses.
Thanks,

Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2015/10/07) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
This could not be filled with any more lies. It was NEVER stated in January when we ordered the dresses that there would be zero room to alter, or I would have told her to order a size up.
I was also NEVER satisfied with the fit of the dress and upon complaining about it during the first fitting, I was told "just get some spanx you'll be fine!" How do you not see that as RUDE?!?
So after being made to feel fat and buying spanx, at the 2nd dress fitting it still didnt fit good & I demanded it be let out as much as possible. I made it very clear that I could not sit in the dress and was told they could not do much of anything about it. The other girls made it clear to me thay they did not walk around or sit down during their fitting, I was the only one who did.
The seamstress also kept tugging at the ill fitted shoulder lace on our dresses and kept assuring the bridesmaids how it should fit instead of altering it to make it fit properly.
[redacted], [redacted] and [redacted] NEVER had a final fitting after alterations because the bride is the one who picked up the dresses, so how could they have let you know they were satisfied during that "final fitting"?!?! (And both [redacted] & [redacted] dress was extremely tight still and [redacted] hem was a few inches shorter than the under layer but at that point the wedding was less than 2 weeks away)
I sent an itemized list with names and problems that all the bridesmaids had. The pictures were taken from different angles and included close ups so not every picture has identifiable faces. It is very sad to me that "we want all of our customers to have the best possible experience" includes telling all of them to buy spanx in an attempt to fit in the dresses instead of leaving room in measurements for alterations to MAKE THEM FIT.
If the owner knew the cut, knew the dress could not be altered, and ordered the tightest possible size in January for a September wedding then she has already unconsciously taken blame. The only signature the bridesmaids gave was on the bill of sale and alteration tickets which again clearly states "I am aware alterations are necessary to make my dress a perfect fit." AND THEY WERE ANYTHING BUT A "PERFECT FIT"
The owner has done nothing to even offer a sorry.
There will be many more professional pictures released soon showing in more detail the flaws of the dresses, which I would send if the owner acted like she actually cared or wanted to do something to make ammends with unhappy customers.
Which it is very apparent she doesn't.
She has offered no apology, only more blame towards the designer and bridesmaids.
She has offered no refund of any kind of the alterations seeing as she has stated here there was very little that could even be altered (but forgot to tell us before we paid her money).
And even if this is a combined complaint that it too confusing for her, I AM THE ONE MAKING A COMPLAINT...and she has offered nothing but a deceiving dance around true customer service.
WHAT DO YOU ACTUALLY OFFER CUSTOMERS WHO ARE NOT HAPPY?!?!?!
WOULD YOU HAVE ORDERED A NEW DRESS IN A LARGER SIZE AT YOUR COST?
If you really would like four seperate complaints with the Revdex.com instead of one to deal withn then so be it.
Clearly THIS customer was not happy at all with your product, your alterations, your rude comments made about how to make the dress fit, and now lies about things you think you told us but did not at all, and how everyone "was satisfied", which we were not.
Nowhere is it in writing that this dress could not be altered.
Funny how four bridesmaids and a bride dont remember you saying anything about the dress not being able to be altered "more than 1/2" either.
Your only comments made were about how beautiful the dress was and how perfect it fit on all of us despite our complaints.
You have acted like a used car salesmen selling a lemon instead of making your customers 100% fully aware of everything they need to know BEFORE giving you money!!!!
And now when confronted with an unhappy customer you offer NOTHING?
