To whom it may concern We gave them a key for the room when they checked in before o’clock Few hours later, at 8:30pm they came back to the front desk to check out due to emergency situation We couldn’t rent the room because the room was occupied by them and we do have a policy that we do Not allow the same day cancellation However, we wanted to show them we appreciate their business, we sent them one night free stay They got a free night stay even they checked out after checked in after few hours They just ask us to refund because they did not use the room, but we gave them a key for the room There is no reason to give them money back We really don’t understand that how come they complain for this situation Thank you Sincerely, [redacted] Manager of The Country Lodge of Turtle Lake

When I told her that "She's not giving me a plunger!" She said, "She wasn't going to do it, referring to having to unclogged the toilet and had the audacity to ask me if there was doodoo or peepee in the toilet! I asked her to have someone take care of it and I asked for another room! She did not accommodate me at allDid you read my complaint, because I stated that she said she would give me a plunger! This is unacceptable and I will make sure I spread the word to as many people as I can how your establishment treat people! Furthermore, I wasn't in your establishment an hour before this situation happened and I was not accommodated in any shape manner or form so why should I have to pay for being treated like a Janitor! You ought to be ashamed of yourselves for even having an individual working at your establishment offering guests plungers when the toilet clogs up! She even stated she's given other guests plungers! She was unruly and disrespectful because obviously you allow this type of behavior from your staff! This is utterly ridiculous! Upset&Displeased, Mary Williams

Dear ***,We apologize that your stay with the Country Lodge of Turtle Lake was not satisfactoryI have spoke with the manager that night, Pauline Jung, regarding this incidentUnfortunately, we can not refund all of your nightsIt is against our policy to give a patron of our establishment a
plunger to unclog a toilet; however, it is our policy, to alert our staff and someone would of unclogged the toilet for you or you could have your room changed.It is unfortunate that you did not enjoy your stay and furthermore the police had to be called because of this incident.Sincerely,-Country Lodge Management

to the front desk to check out due to emergency situation.
We couldn’t rent the room because the room was occupied by them and we do have a policy that we do Not allow the same day cancellation.
However, we wanted to show them we appreciate their business, we sent them one night free stay.
They got a free night stay even they checked out after checked in after few hours. .
They just ask us to refund because they did not use the room, but we gave them a key for the room.
There is no reason to give them money back.
We really don’t understand that how come they complain for this situation.

They told us the night we had to leave for an emergency that they did not give cash refunds only credit card credit and we would have to call the manager. We would never stay in a hotel with the days they offer and with a 60 limit.  The hotel had several empty rooms so our leaving due to an emergency would not have affected renting another room to someone else.  We  thought that it was strange that other hotels offer emergency cancellation so looked on the reviews for this hotel and saw that another person had a similar compliant.  Since changing hands this hotel has changed many polices and not to the customers benefit.

I am not accepting this matter closed at this time. What [redacted] stated above is a bold lie! The funds were not put on hold. My card was charge and then after this complaint was filed refunded (it took over 7 business days) I'm still unhappy with the cancellation policy stated on their website.  In my option, it needs to be updated to include the fees and restrictions. I will consider this matter closed when [redacted] at tlcl states the correct facts.

We do not have a copy of the reservation, was made by telephone if you send your mailing address I can send you a copy of the letter we received from the manager
