We purchased a zila reptile tank on Saturday 3/24 at 5:09pm. This tank comes in a sealed box. When we got the tank home it was cracked on the bottom. The store closes at ,6pm on Saturdays so we took it back on Sunday at 3/25 at 10:29 am. At that time we were told that we could only receive store credit for the tank by the store manager who had no name tag on. She proceeded to tell us that we must have broke the tank. The tank is 175.00 and again you can't see the bottom of the tank without taking it out of the box. We have bought 2bearded dragons and 2 other tanks as well as food for our animals there on a weekly basis. No we're on the receipt or building does it state store credit on all returns. It's not about the money cause we purchased another tank there it's about how they treated my husband and I.
purchased a fish tank from us. Our employees that helped her with the purchase said it was not broken when she left the store. The next day, she returned with a cracked tank. We offered her a full refund in store credit, because the tank was not cracked when it left our store and we have no control over what happens when products leave the store. *** demanded her refund in cash only. We think offering her a full refund in store credit is more than fair, especially given the circumstances. Insisting on a cash refund raises many suspicions, but we were still generously offering credit for an item that was broken after it left our store. We take great pride in treating all of our customers fairly and with respect, and we feel we did this and beyond in this case.
I did not purchase a fish tank. It was a reptile terrarium. It was sealed in a cardboard box. Nobody could of known it was broken till it was opened.
Apologies for the wrong choice of words describing the glass tank. It was a reptile tank, not a fish tank. We still offered a full refund in store credit for a tank that was brought back broken, which we believe was more than a fair compromise. Again, our employees have stated multiple times that it was not broken when sold. We are done responding to this situation, as we believe we handled it fairly and honestly.
