July 2, 2014To whom it may concern this is my second notarized letter. I reported having problems with water leaking in the master bedroom on 12/16/2013, 12/21/2013, and 01/13/2013. The problem was temporarily fixed by spraying enzymes, cleaning the carpet, and replacing part of the padding, but the problem started again after heavy or continuous rain on Saturday 6/28/2014. So once again, I reported the problem to the office on 6/30/2014. I also reported mold growing on the ceiling of the Master bathroom. In my master bedroom there is water coming in on the left corner of the floor and the master bedroom closet which floods during a heavy rain, and the carpet along with the whole house smells afterwards. Someone came to spray enzymes for the smell coming from the carpet before, but its occurring again since there was heavy or continuous rain again. I would like to get these problems taken care of NOW. It is making my living here very difficult on the simple fact that I can't get out one side of the bed without stepping in water and getting my feet wet when it rain Secondly, some things that are on the floor in my closet such as my shoes and clothes are getting wet. The manager (Mrs. [redacted] stated that she was going to come herself to see the problem on 2 July, 2014 which was a Monday, but did not come. On July 2, 2014, I have submitted a complaint to the Housing Inspection and Tracking System. I am putting in writing to withhold full or partial rent until these problems have been FIXED. According to one of my neighbors, this water leak has been going on before I moved into this apartment. The resident that lived here before me according to my neighbor, also had this water problem. July 3, 2014Another complaint is of your disrespectful maintenance supervisor[redacted] on July 3, 2014. He told me that I could expect water leaks while living here and that, that's what happens after heavy rain. I told him that it could have still been water coming in before and he was the one that stated the padding probably soaked it up. So to me, this means the water is coming through because of the heavy rain, on regular rain days the padding is soaking the rain up before it gets a chance to come out of the carpet and to expect black mold. He argued that the issues was fixed and I told him that it is not fixed if I'm still having the problem. I am sadden by his very unprofessional attitude. He has a smart mouth especially not around his colleagues, and his lack of concern for the residents. He tried to intimidate me. I have talked to the manager (Mrs. [redacted]) about his actions.I have small children, this black mold under my carpet, on the ceiling in the master bathroom, and also forming underneath the toilet top is very dangerous to my health as well as the health of my family.
