Review: Contractor [redacted] stated upon signing contract that he would be responsible for obtaining permit, and that we would only be responsible for payment. Work was completed on October 21,2013, and upon completion he stated he would obtain permits the following day. I have not heard back from him since that day regarding the permit, and it is Nov. 1 now, so almost 2 weeks have passed. I have made numerous phonecalls at different hours of the day, and left voice messages, but to no avail. He simply does not call back.Desired Settlement: I would like a returned phone call with information on when the permit will be provided. I want to see the actual permit provided sooner than later, the job inspected, and if any repairs are necessary as per inspector, for those to be completed. [redacted] needs to finish what he started and show some professionalism and customer service.

Good Afternoon, My name is [redacted], owner of Countryside Chimney LLC. l’d like to first start off by stating I was never informed of this complaint, in which took my business from a grade of an A to a D-. Had I known, this would have been immediately resolved. For future reference, you can either email me at [redacted], call me at ###-###-####, or send a letter to [redacted].

In this particular situation, when this customer called, [redacted] had no heat in her home due to PSEG & Plumber shutting it off. Carbon monoxide was entering her home thru the furnace, it was very cold out & she had no heat/hot water with small children in the home. Due to the liner being considered an emergency, we did the work the very next day. The customer couldn’t have been happier her heat & hot water was up and running, however I specifically told her I would be unreachable for the next week, that I would be on a cruise on vacation. I let her know that I would have the permit in about a week when I returned, and she was okay with that. When I did return, I had several nasty voicemails from [redacted], who apparently has selective hearing, because she is stating Ijust never returned her calls. I immediately picked up the permit the very next day l was home from vacation. The customers desired resolution was a returned phone call with information about the permit, which I did let her know. The job was inspected, she saw the actual permit, and I did indeed finish the job I started.
