I am a Real Estate agent and I have used Countryside several times for my clients and my personal useI have been very pleased with their service and the technicians I have meet when they came to do the job

Just had our furnace/duct cleaning done and was amazed Adam did an excellent job and showed pic's as he did the cleaning....before & after I couldn't believe how dirty and gross it was I'll be doing this in another couple years

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/08/12) */
After the circuit board was replaced and the return trip was made in the spring of 2014 the technician did confirmed that he in fact tested the system for proper operation as well as the connectivity on the circuit board itself. He...

cycled the system on and off several times and double checked that the wiring to the new circuit board was correct. If the technician had left any wires dangling or barely touching the air conditioner would have experienced some kind of malfunction sooner than 15 months later. He is correct; a wire doesn't just "jump off". Someone or something had to happen to the wiring within those 15 months for the system to start experiencing an issue after that long of a period of time. The first and only time we received knowledge that there was another situation was 15 months after our initial repair and only after the homeowner self diagnosed and fixed the problem. We feel there was no wrong doing or negligence on our part but as a good faith gesture we would like to offer a compensation to cover his cost of the contactor.
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2015/08/20) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Countryside Heating & Cooling in so many words is calling me a liar. I never touched the circuit board or for that matter even opened the furnace access panel until the new contactor failed within one week of my replacing it. The other thing that annoys me is the arrogance of the owner to suggest I should not save money and self diagnose my problem and fix it when I'm qualified to do so. That's like saying he should never fix a toilet or do any carpentry on his own house, unbelievable!
Since he is so adamant about his theory that I damaged my own circuit board connection, here's another theory of mine. The wire that was touching the circuit board but not screwed on, resulted in my air conditioner working for many months before the 24 volt wire arced so many times that it finally failed to connect.
Any wire either low voltage or high voltage will pass electricity by a simple contact. We all learned that in science class in 8th grade. But in his mind that's not plausible.
I now suspect that Countryside Heating & Cooling does this on purpose to get business. Why would he scold me for working on my own system or call me a liar? It's because they wanted the call back to do more service work. Maybe even to try and sell me a new air conditioner. It is suspicious that they had to come back a second time after getting my furnace circuit board replaced. The first service call was for my furnace and the second time was to get my air conditioner working in the spring. Twice the tech had worked on the circuit board connections yet he left a broken wire touching the screw. Maybe the first time the wire wasn't touching enough to start up the air conditioner. They couldn't try to sell me a new air conditioner then but if they rigged the wire so it failed later, that would bring in more business.
Like I said, I'm open minded enough to say this could have happened on purpose or it was just a simple mistake on their part. But Countryside Heating & Cooling has no open mind about this issue and continues to imply I caused the problem. I'm telling you, I didn't touch the circuit board or go near it since their tech did the work. And YES (owner) wires don't just jump off of a screw connection! Your guy left it that way!
When I first contacted Countryside Heating & Cooling I would have settled for a number of reasonable solutions, even a credit for future work. Now, after being called a liar, I want my money back in full! This is now about my right to stand up for the truth. I don't like being called a liar by a company I paid good money to do work on my home. If the owner of Countryside Heating & Cooling would like letters of reference from attorneys, bankers, other professionals and or business owners that have know me for decades to vouch for my integrity, he should ask. I would be glad to provide that information to the Revdex.com. If after that, he still continues to call me a liar, then there is nothing more I can do. If that's the case, Countryside Heating & Cooling is the company lacking integrity, period!
Final Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2015/08/24) */
I personally verified with the technician that did the work, and he specifically recalls double checking the wiring to the circuit board and it had good connectivity and was in fact installed properly. Beyond that point, after 15 months of use anything could have happened to the wire. The wire itself could have been frail or brittle due its age (15 years old) combined with the vibration of the furnace itself running could have been a contributing factor. I am not saying the homeowner maliciously sabotaged his own furnace I was simply stating the furnace is older therefore anything could have happened to the wire in 15 months. There are just too many contributing factors and different scenarios that could have taken place. The only facts we have to go by is the NATE certified technician verified the circuit board was wired correctly and the system was operating properly in the Spring of 2014 and the system ran fine for 15 months with no issues. I will not be refunding any funds as I do not agree with the accusations and I trust the word of my senior technician.

I have been very pleased with their service and the technicians I have meet when they came to do the job.

They replaced a circuit board on my furnace in February. In the summer they had to come back because they didn't wire the AC correct. A year later my AC contactor was fried and needed to be replaced. After replacing, a week later the AC unit was sill arcing, jerking on and off etc. I discover a low voltage wire touching the circuit board but not connected to the screw. I connected the wire to the screw and the on off cycling of the AC unit stopped. The wire was touching allowing the 24 volts to work until the connection eventually burnt from arcing causing the contactor damage and the AC unit to fail months later. Although no one had touched that circuit board but Countryside Heating, the owner, [redacted], blamed me for the loose wire. He would not acknowledge any wrong doing and did not even offer to pay the 50 bucks for the fried contactor I replaced. I told the owner "Wires don't jump off of the circuit board, your guy screwed up". His response was a whole lot of nothing!
