Countryside Roofing and Exteriors Reviews (4)

Back in May I had signed a contract with countryside roofing to replace the roof on my house along with some other necessary repairsFive months later, with no contact since May, and days before the job was to begin, I received a letter saying "after reviewing my job they cannot perform the work" because they do not have the equipment and capability to run the metal. That was a downright lieI personally have seen some of the metal roofs that they have installed and that is why I signed a contract with themAlong with a refund of my original depositThey added 6% for the interest lostAll I have gained from this was a few dollars and a deteriorating roof that now may not be able to be replaced until the spring, How can a company work like this and not know that they can't perform the work but still present a valid contractThey supplied samples of the metal roofing that was to be usedIn a letter ( not a phone call) the owner blamed the sales consultant for the company, who is no longer working thereI think this letter was a lie just because they didn't want to do this job because something better came alongIf your in the market to replace your roof I would be very careful about using this company with business practices like this

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the responseIf no reason is received your complaint will be closed Administratively Resolved] Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because:
We have made numerous attempts to contact the company with no responseI left message after message for them to call us but they will not return our callsI will continue to call the company but feel they will make no attempt to return our calls
As for their response to the complaint, we have had a stone mason repoint and seal the chimney and the roof still leaks
The OSB underlayment that company installed on the roof is exposed and beginning to rotI brought this to their attention and they said they would come take a look at it but never didEverything they have suggested that we do to stop the leaks have been completed and we still have leaksThe exposed OSB is blatantly obvious it will leak and is detrimental to the integrity of the surrounding structureWe would just like to see the roof repaired so we can stop the damage to the rest of the housePlease call us back or stop by and have a look at the exposed OSB, you can fix this, that’s all we are asking
Thank you
Regards,*** ***

There were some issues with the stone chimney which was cracked and we advised the owner to have a mason repair, repoint and reseal which is not in our scope of workThere was also some flashing that had become an issue which was connected to the chimney, this was resolvedIf there are any
other issues in regards to the roof only, we will certainly entertain them and fix the problem if contacted
