County Arbitration

Review: I believe that District Arbitration Services/County Arbitration is a scam!!! Someone named [redacted] contacted me about an outstanding check advance from 2004, which I paid off in cash (around June 2005). The business has gone out of business and I am being contacted 8 years later. I was threatened by an investigator and frightened into making payment arrangements to clear this supposed debt which I had already paid.Desired Settlement: I want the $400.00 dollars that I have already paid.

Review: People keep calling me from [redacted] (local) with a 1-888 call back number. They claim to be county or district arbitration. When I asked for an adress they said they had many but gave one in washington dc however it is listed as for rent and empty. When I ask for info on their company they put me on hold and then either come back with bogus information or they hang up. They have represented themselves as lawyers, mediators, creditors, etc. I have spoken with "[redacted]" "[redacted]" and "[redacted]"(supervisor). The scary thing is they have people's social security numbers. They are also contacting my friend in Louisiana and acting the same way. They will not stop calling and they make threats and use evasion techiques when they are confronted or questioned.Desired Settlement: I would like this "company" looked into to find out if they are legit or not. I would also like them to stop calling my house.
