Sean O [redacted] installed a Hot Water Heater for us today He was very professional in the manner in which he handled the process and the installation I would recommend Sean and County Wide Mechanical to anyone in this area

Dear BBB:In response to your inquiry regarding Mr [redacted] at [redacted] **. ***. County Wide Mechanical Services originally installed this unit for [redacted] on July 2, 2013. Our warranty period is 1 yr. Also it is our Company policy that... the warranty voids upon new ownership which is also an industry standard. The warranty on Mr. [redacted] unit was void with the conveyance of new ownership. Mr [redacted] had occupied this residence in 2013 for 10 months, July August & September being Air Conditioning months. We did not hear from Mr. [redacted] . When we did hear from him it was in 2014. Keep in mind the warranty is void with property conveyance. The system had gone through the winter months as well. County Wide Mechanical made two service calls at NO Charge to Mr [redacted] to look at his unwarranted unit. County Wide replaced over 4 pounds of R22 Refrigerant at a cost of $125.00 a pound. NO Service Call Charge, No Trip Charge, No Diagnostic Fee, No Refrigerant Charge. County Wide acted over and above for Mr. [redacted] at absolutely NO Charge. If Mr. [redacted] would like to be billed for the two service calls and refrigerant we supplied we certainly would be more than happy to recoup the losses we incurred. Sincerely: [redacted] ***

Nothing but great things to say about the folks at County WideThey are professional, patient with changes in the components of the job requirements, courteous and thoroughI have worked through two projects with them, the first an installation of a tankless water heater, and most recently the mechanical work around the installation of a natural gas driven fire place insertThey were responsive to my scheduling requirements, and went above and beyond to complete the work on scheduleI would highly recommend using their mechanical services

Did a oil to propane conversion in my house along with a new central air unit and water heater They did such a good job that the propane company asked who did the job because of how neat and clean the piping was They did everything they said they would do, including removal of the old oil tank Very professional and cleaned up ALL of their mess The furnace was well fitted into the existing ductwork and at no point did I ever felt like they were in a hurry They did have to come back to install the return duct that has to be custom made at the shop, which looks great

I needed their service for my A/C and they were here within days and did an outstanding job repairing my system

To Whom This May Concern: In response to Ms. [redacted] attack on County Wide about being charged for a  surge protector.  We went out to Ms. [redacted] home numerous times at no charge for an issue with her system....after...

several attempts to fix the problem we contacted the manufacturer.  The manufacturer suggested that a surge protector be added to rectify the problem, which we added as an additional part and which every company would charge an additional fee for.  We sent Ms. [redacted] the bill, she called swearing and was very rude that she was not paying for the surge protector.  I told her that was fine it was her choice not to pay for the surge protector.  I asked her if we got the surge protector back.  Ms. [redacted] told me she didn't care if I ever got the  BLEEP BLEEP BLEEP surge protector back.  At that point I stopped dealing with Ms. [redacted].  To date she has not returned nor paid for the surge protector.  County Wide has stopped sending her bills for it.  ~~ Please let me know that you received this response and tell me what the status is with Revdex.com and what rating can we expect from here on out.  Thank You. ~~ Best Regards:  Ken B[redacted] Jr.

Needed a replacement of a draft inducer for a Slant/Fin gas boiler. Part is available on-line for $250. They gave me a quote of $700. That's $450 labor to replace a part that should take a professional less than a half hour. I recommend shopping around for a better price.

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:
I am still in shock after reading Mr. B[redacted] response.    He has every right to respond to the Revdex.com.  However, he does NOT have the right to create a story.  An incredible story at that!  I have spent years teaching customer service and supervisory skills.  I can offer you hundreds of references.  I would never, never, call any company and swear at them.  There is really no need to do so.  I never spoke rudely or disrespectfully to anyone at CountyWide, that is outrageous and again speaks directly to the character of Mr.B[redacted].   It is very disturbing that he would choose to invent a story maligning a customer rather than admit a mistake.
There is not one ounce of truth to any portion of Mr.B[redacted] response.   Please keep this on file for the next customer Mr.B[redacted] decides to defame rather than work with honestly.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

Country Wide (Mike) rendered excellent service. They helped and resolved our HVAC problems. Mike explained the work involved. Overall, excellent service and good people.

In responce to complaint # [redacted].  County Wide is a small but demanding HVAC, Plumbing, Sheetmetal Company.  We are fully scheduled out each and every day.  We were and are aware of getting our customers issues resolved in a very timely manor.  There are times when it is...

beyond our control to make it to a scheduled appointment because of unexpected emergencies that may arise.
I was fully aware of this customers taking the day off to install and remove equipment, I made every effort to accommodate her and when we were able to send others to another issue I called her immediately first thing in the morning so she did not have to take another day off.  We are going to return to the home to finish up a few little outstanding issues as soon as she returns my email or phone call to see when she will be available. We will take care of them so we can finish being paid and submit her rebate.

Review: They began a to replace my oil furnace to a gas furnace on 6/11/2014. There has been a series of appointments that they had cancelled and rescheduled to finish the job. On 6/11/2014 I paid them $5940.00. Almost paid in full. I understand that they had to coordinate with the gas company in order to complete the job but now the gas company was done on 7/9/2014 and they are still not done. I spoke to [redacted] about my appointment for 7/21/2014 which was cancelled then rescheduled for 7/30/2014. Then on 7/29/2014 [redacted] calls me to tell me they can't make it on the 30th can they reschedule for Friday. I told her that my wife or I cannot be home on Friday. So then calls me back on the 30th saying she had two cancellations that if I was home. She was being very rude and loud the said "Do you want it done of not". I feel that now that they had the majority of the payment they did not need to do the job in a timely manner. They have demonstrated to be very rude and unprofessional.Desired Settlement: I just want the job to be completed 100%. I do not wish to keep calling for appointments that will continue to be rescheduled. These are the items left to be done: 1- Fill the hole where furnace was removed from. 2- Fill the holes from outside where pipes are coming in3- Cover open duct4- Send paper work for water heater rebate($250.00)

Review: Purchased a condo in July 2013 that during the sale period sustained a lightning strike to the central air conditioning condenser. The condenser was replaced by the seller with a new American Standard unit, model # [redacted], SN [redacted]. In May 2014 I contacted them about warm air coming from the vents when the A/C was on. Service Tech [redacted] came out to look at the unit, he said that it was down a little on Freon and topped-off the Freon and said to call if the problem returned. I called again in August 2014 , this time the coils in the furnace were frozen. This time service tech [redacted] came out and told my wife that there was a large leak and that the entire system (including furnace) should be replaced at a cost of $6000 to $8000. He said that he put over 3 lbs of R-22 into the system to take care of the problem for now but a full diagnostic should be done. This year the coils froze again and I called a friend who is a licensed HVAC technician/unlimited to come look at it. He found the leak within seconds using his gas detector. The large (3/4") copper pipe at the service ports was not brazed properly during installation and leaking gas. He repaired the fitting, pressure tested and vacuum tested the unit before recharging the system. He stated that the system could not have ever passed these tests (pressure and vacuum) when it was installed and that whoever the technicians were must not have performed the gas testing when inspecting the system to determine the source of such a large leak, nearly 50% of system capacity. I contacted [redacted] at [redacted] and he informed me that they warranty their service for one (1) year. I explained that his service technicians were out to repair the system before the year anniversary of the installation and again three (3) months later and neither of the techs found the problem. [redacted] said that he was not paying for the repair that I had to have performed because it was greater than a year.Desired Settlement: I would like the full cost of the repair due to their defective installation of the unit reimbursed.

Review: Our air-conditioner stopped working in July. A mechanic was sent to our home multiple times. The second visit we were told we needed a surge protector. The mechanic said that [redacted] was aware of the issue and believed that the surge protector was the answer. It did not work. On the third visit the mechanic told us that [redacted] was replacing the unit since he could not find the problem. After waiting a over a week, we did not get a new unit, a new part was put in.

Subsequently, we received a bill for $213.14 for the surge protector. I called Ken B[redacted] at County Wide to let him know that not only is our air conditioner still under warranty but that the surge protector did not solve the problem. Mr. B[redacted] was very rude and his response was "did we get out surge protector back.?" I told him my concern was that the company believes that a surge protector is needed but he could certainly have it back if he wanted. I also informed him that since it did not solve the problem I was not going to pay for it.

I was so surprised by how poorly I was treated that I wrote a letter to Ken B[redacted]. We had purchased 2 propane tanks, a new heating unit. and a new central air conditioner, and I was being snapped at for a surge protector that the company said I needed, (the letter is included). Mr. B[redacted] did not bother to respond to my letter, instead, I received another bill for $213.14. I have no intention of paying this bill and it certainly does speak to Mr. B[redacted]'s character that this is how he chose to respond to a very good customer.Desired Settlement: I am not responsible for this bill. It is appalling that County Wide would treat a customer who has spent thousands of dollars with them so poorly. As I said, it speaks to Ken B[redacted]'s character.
