Out a $100 diagnostic fee for literally nothing.I called with an urgent heating/cooling issue on Wednesday, August 25. I got an appointment for Monday August, 30. That day, the tech was supposed to arrive between 12 and 2. I was informed that someone would call me to let me know if the technician was going to be running early or late. When nobody had arrived (or called) by 2:20, I called the main number and was told that the technician was dealing with a big water leak issue. Okay, but what about my appointment? I had things to do. She then told me that someone would call when they were on the way. A little more than hour later, I got a call saying the man was on his way to me in Middletown from West Hartford. He finally arrived around 4.
The tech looked at the thermostat, checked the duct work up in the attic (reported correctly that it was a mess), checked the fuse box in the basement, then went outside to look at the air conditioning unit. He did not take the panel cover off (inside of which ended up being a serious rodent issue!)
He told me that a quote would follow.
It's now been almost two weeks and I haven't heard a thing back from anyone. I've received no follow-up, no estimate, no nothing. I wrote the company to inquire but have heard nothing back.
I'm not sure what I paid $100 for.
I'm confused and disappointed and out a hundred previous bucks, it seems, for nothing.
After doing deeper research and finding so many negative reviews, the fact that they only got $100 of my money seems like a blessing.
I'll continue to wait for any type of communication from them whatsoever, but in the meantime, I will be going with another company and would not in a thousand years recommend this one.
