The credit requested by the customer has been issued. It was an oversight

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: Did you read my rebuttal to their rejection?  THEY DON'T HAVE A SIGNED CONTRACT WITH ME. How can they pretend they have permission to charge me $1.9K. Did me giving them my credit card # give them permission to add charges, days after the final return of the vehicle and do whatever they want?   They lied about what they were selling and didn't even get me to sign the contract that clearly tells the truth, or initial the ACCEPT/REJECT box.   I will pursue a lawyer, but feel you didn't do anything to help me under the circumstances other than forward emails we had already sent each other.  What does Revdex.com do with the info to prevent others from getting the same snow job?  Am I legally forbidden from trashing them on the internet?  Thanks,  [redacted]

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:
I made every effort to get the correct information about the level of insurance for the vehicle I was renting, and no less than 3 employees dodged the opportunity to draw my attention to the specific information I was asking...

about, leading me to believe I was being contracted with the level of insurance that I required.  Their verbal reassurances were fallacious and they did not ask me to initial the portion of the agreement where I would have clearly seen that what the level of insurance I was requiring was not even offered by their company.  I have attached also attached a scan of the companies rental agreement showing the information about the $500 deductible and the info about conditions surrounding damages to the box of the truck. However, my attachment is the exact contract of MY rental, and nowhere on the attached scan, does my signature of acceptance to these terms appear, nor do my initials appear in the box asking to ACCEPT or DECLINE those specific terms that I had repeatedly asked about verbally and been repeatedly mislead and misinformed.   I clearly expressed my desire to pay for all insurance necessary that would allow me to "walk away with no cost to me personally" should there be any damage to the vehicle.  I got the clear signal that this was what would be set up for the rental, after I made it clear that I am a volunteer working for the charity and did not want to be held responsible for any mishap during my hours of volunteer service.  After I was handed the keys to the vehicle and as I was just about to put the key into the ignition, I realized I had not checked off anything whatsoever on the rental agreement or initialed any areas regarding the full insurance I had requested for the rental.  I immediately got out of the truck and re-entered the office to inquire, but the gentlemen who had drawn up my agreement was away from his desk.  I addressed two other employees at the desks directly beside the gentleman I had worked with, repeating to them the exact same request that "since I had not signed or initialed anything at all, I wanted to confirm that I would be fully covered with the necessary insurance, that would allow me to walk away with no cost to me whatsoever, should there be any damage to the truck."  The two others kindly glanced at my contract briefly and said I was fully insured.  At just that moment, the gentleman I had worked with, walked in from the back and also confirmed that based on previous rentals with my charity group, that he had taken out the full coverage automatically, even though I hadn't initiated anything on this day.  Again, with full awareness, all three employees did not take this opportunity to have me sign the contract or draw my attention to the ACCEPT/DECLINE box in the lower right corner.    I left, assuming that my verbal confirmation has been in good faith and would be more precise than trying to find the answers to my questions, reading all the fine print on the back of a contract that I hadn't even signed or initialed. To clarify again, at no time did any of the three employees clarify that there was a $500 deductible or that the box of the truck was not covered by any insurance at all.   I WOULD have seen this on the front of the rental agreement if ANY of the employees had noticed or pointed out that I had not been asked to initial the box with this information and my initials did not appear in the box marked  ACCEPT/DECLINE.   Having asked the specific and detailed insurance requirements I wanted, it did not occur to me that the response I had been verbally provided were in direct contradiction of the companies true policy and actual insurance arrangements. At no time did any employee offer the truth that no such coverage was available for the truck I had reserved.   Whether it was intentional, unintentional, lazy or just incompetence I have no idea, but I could not have been more clear that I wanted absolute and full coverage for any damage whatsoever to the vehicle.  I would never have intentionally finalized the rental of the truck without full insurance to cover all damage, and I cannot understand why not one employee offered that what I was requesting was  not available from their company.  The supervisor does not believe my claim to the negligent behavior of his employees, but the lack of registry of the non-for-profit status or omitting to have me check the AGREE/DISAGREE portion regarding damages on the contract should speak for itself.
As mentioned in the last communication from the business; during the heated discussion of my displeasure over being misled and charged for any damages, a reduced price was offered, in a "take it or leave it" manner.  At that point, I politely ended the call and proceeded immediately to register my complaint to the Revdex.com.  I never agreed to pay any full or reduced amount, despite any impression given to that effect, but did not attempt to negotiate further after the "take it or leave it," remark, adding "You signed a contract and you are liable for the damages."  My first clue that the employees were not being thorough should have been when I offered the legally necessary New Jersey State not-for-profit voucher proving our group's right to tax-exemption in NJ. The voucher was not taken by the rental agent or even inspected, saying "our group had NY State exemption from prior rentals." I further expressed that our NJ tax exemption had never been established with the company and this was the first rental in NJ. Though I asked to have it entered for future rentals in NJ, I was told it was unnecessary red tape.  Though my only current complaint is about financial charges due to the three employees negligent presentation of the insurance options, this negligence surrounding registering the tax-exempt status at the time of the rental, is probably the more serious offense and surely illegal. Regards,

[redacted] complaint is that we 1. sent her to collections without giving her a chance to pay the bill. 2. kept her account in collections after her balance was paid. 3. charged her for bringing the vehicle back a day late. 4. behaved inappropriately over the phone. This customer's rental was from...

8/21 until 8/28, at the time she rented the vehicle we obtained an authorization of $500.00. once the vehicle was returned & her bill was computed the total came to $903.77, on the morning of 8/29 we applied the $500.00 authorization to her bill & attempted to bill her card for the remaining $403.77, her card was declined. When a card comes up declined we call the customer to advise them of this & to obtain another form of payment. [redacted] did not get back to us until September 15, and that was to dispute the additional day we billed her for. Once we re billed her rental the outstanding balance was reduced to $348.28. which at that point was outstanding from 8/29. [redacted]We did not send this account to collections until October 7, 2016[redacted] Her rental was from; August 21, 2016 2:22pm and returned on August 28, 2016 6:30pm. Her reservation was for a 7 day rental, which means the vehicle would have to be returned by 2:22pm on 8/28. We originally showed the vehicle coming back at 1am on 8/29 which is why we billed her for an 8th day. Once she called to dispute the bill we did adjust her bill to make it a 7 day rental, even though it was returned 4 hours after the time it was due. Technically we could still have charged her for the 8th day, but instead just charged her an overtime fee for the 4 hours she was late
