My husband and I had a custom home built by Celebration Homes of Lubbock owned by Dan Hines I would give this business negative stars if possible The lack of communication between themselves & us was so bad that it became comical It was months from breaking ground to completion of our home We should have walked away when the footing for another house was poured on our lot Within those eight months, Celebration Homes changed at least different contractors (that we are aware of) We started with one electrical company but finished with a different company I do not have much experience in home building but do understand that this is not a good pratice of a company We designed our home so it was not one of his standard floor plans I am a medical professional & my husband is a repair technician and do not have any experience in home building so we were relying on MrHines & his staff to guide us through this very important process We received the bare minimum of help I had to set up my own meeting with the lighting company I had to go and pick up the samples for the roofThe list could continue all day Short cuts and price cutting are a high priority for this company An example would be that I had to go and buy the bronze plumbing kit for the master bath bathtub so it would match the rest of the hardware in the room because replacing it was not a service that Celebration Homes provided As of today, we are having to have the sod in the back yard replaced because it did not take and died So instead of hiring a landscaping company to insure that this time it is done correctly, Mr Hines has hired day workers to do the job If it had not been for us visiting the worksite every single day of construction, I believe we would have a very long list of issues So in conclusion, I definitely do not recommend Celebration Homes of Lubbock!!!
