Back in 2016, I purchased a new '16 Dodge Ram from Courtesy Chrysler in San Juan Capistrano and accepted the extended warranty. They said the warranty has a deductible but if I brought the vehicle back to Courtesy Chrysler in San Juan Capistrano, they would waive the deductible. I live in Corona and could have brought the vehicle to a local dealership to perform the warranty work, however, I figured I could save money by taking it to Courtesy Chrysler in San Juan Capistrano. I spoke to Dennis in Finance to confirm I would not have to pay the deductible and he confirmed over the phone this was true. Upon completion of the services, they asked for a deductible payment of $200. I told them that this is the dealership I purchased the vehicle from and that the deductible should be waived as promised by Dennis and what I was told when I purchased the warranty/vehicle. They made me wait over an hour and came back saying I owe the $200.

As you will see in the attachment Mr. purchased the $200.00 deductible. Since there was a misunderstanding at time of purchase we are in the process of changing the protection agreement to $100.00 disappearing deductible.Thank You

Revdex.com:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me. I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.

Regards,

Michael

In July of 2018, I purchased a used vehicle from this business in Orange County, LA. Along with the vehicle purchase, financed through capitol one, I also purchased an extended warranty that was offered during the sale. This warranty that is listed on my buyers agreement and contact is Ally. Within the first 30 days of purchase, my vehicle had mechanical issues. When I contacted the company, I was told by Dennis(The finance manger) that my warranty was no longer through ally and something was sent out in the mail which never was the case. Although I never received this new information, the issue was resolved by Rick ***(As what everyone at the dealer refers to as the head manager). Ally, who I recently just spoke with on the phone confirmed that coverage with them included powertrain and everything that goes along with it, which includes; engine, radiator, manifold, exhaust, ect. My car is now in the shop for a second time and this new warranty that I never opted for or signed anyway paperwork for apparently doesn’t cover work that would have been covered by ally. My car is at bmw waiting to have work done, but I’m being told nothing is covered. My issue is that I agreed with having Ally! And if that company couldn’t accept me, this new warranty should have been like for like and not of lesser value of what I paid for. I purchased a warranty to have coverage for things like this, and apparently I’m not “covered”! I called Rick on Oct 15th since he’s the guy that resolved the issue before to better explain what is going on and he was quick to dismiss me and wouldn’t provide any answers and was looking for answer out of the sky and told me we wasn’t the manger and passed me off to someone else like I’m some sort of headache. I’ve left numerous voice mails stating that it was urgent but nobody has called me back. I need answers, I need my car fixed.

Ana, When Mr.e purchased his vehicle he purchase a Century service contract level 1 The reason for the era is that our system defaults to Ally service contract , and we have to change it if another contract is sold.

After my finance manager spoke with Joshua we decide to upgrade his service contract to a level 3 which would give him additional coverage

Thank You

We were given a set negotiated price with information and proceeded to purchase based on that. The only changes at the time of contract were to have been the extended warranty and oil changes. The finance guy, Dennis Kapata, assured us the papers signed were the deal negotiated. He even said if there was something wrong, they would be sure to correct it and not to worry. Once we reviewed the actual negotiated paper and the contract prepared by Dennis, we were able to see he charged for "Etch" in the amount of $1,295. This had never been discussed. There isn't anything on the vehicle that is Etch. I was even told by one of the sales people that he doesn't know anything about Etch. We have made two written requests to Dennis to remove this charge by sending us a check or by reducing the loan amount. We were definitely overcharged by the dealership. We are now being ignored by the dealership and feel we must file this complaint. Additionally, 30 days after purchasing the vehicle they had not done anything regarding our title. This lack of action on their part cost us an additional $200 approximately. We have also requested reimbursement for the additional expenses incurred due to them not taking care of the title in a timely manner. We greatly appreciate assistance from the Revdex.com to resolve these issues. We don't think you will be ignored!!

First I must apologize for the delay with this matter. It should have been resolved August 10th when our sales manager brought it to our accounting department who miss filed it

Please see attached showing that we credited Mr. Strong’s account with Ally today

Dennis Kapata is a liar and do not trust him. He is sketchy and shady. Do not buy from this place what so ever....

Do not buy a car from here. They say they will give u 5 days to find a different bank to go lower but in the end they match your interest rate. The financial manager will always ALWAYS choose Ally financing versus any other bank you choose. Do not trust these people. Do not buy a car from these guys. They lie from the get go. DO NOT BUY/ FINANACE ANYTHING WITH THIS DEALERSHIP.

Don't make the mistake I did. They lie and will match your interest rate and will not choose the bank you asked to finance with.

They will choose ALLY ALWAYS. Do not do it

It is not worth it what so ever.

ONE AGAIN DO NOT BUY OR PURCHASE OR FINANACE WITH THIS DEALERSHIP.

DENNIS KAPATA IS SHADY, REMEMBER THE NAME, REMEMBER THIS PLACE WHEN YOU COME HERE. DO NOT DO SNY BUSINESS WITH THIS DEALERSHIP. STAY AWAY.

We apologize for the inconvenience. Your experience had occurred when the dealership was Courtesy CDJR. Please note that Coastline Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram is now under new ownership. We truly value our customers and do our best to have all of your needs met.
