I am rejecting this response because:The opportunist saw a way to make a quick buck and is trying to capitalize on it.  Its not going to work.  If he wasn't in it for the money and or methodically trying to ripping me off.  Why wouldn't he do what any normal person would do.  IF he truly owns the car now, sell the car, pay himself what the bill is and offer the difference. Nope, nothing even close.  We continue to ask for proof that he has title, he wont even provide proof to that.  All he says is "BUY IT FROM ME".  That statement alone tells you everything you need to know.  He's asking for $6000 for the vehicle.  All I owed was $65 and outrageous storage for the vehicle being on his empty lot. The car has been repaired hes says but I didn't authorize repairs.  A Pre-Lien notice is required by law with a signature.  Ive never received one.  Im not letting this go no way no how.  Its principle now.

12/1/17Dear Sir or madam, Mr. [redacted] brought his vehicle in for inspection. We informed him of his needs the next day and he said he would get back to us. We left many messages over the next two weeks with no return until I told Mr. [redacted] we would start charging storage. He came into our...

business and talked with me on Monday July 10th. I told him we would start charging $35.00 per day the next day. He asked if we could wait one more day and he would have the car removed on Tuesday, I said fine. He didn’t. After not hearing from him for another week we filed a mechanics lien on the vehicle through the [redacted]. On the rare occasion we have to do this we always use them to have the correct process done. Mr. [redacted] called me on July 21st asking about having some work done and I informed him of the situation regarding the storage and lien fees, he said he would just come and get it. He didn’t. Obviously the value of the vehicle was very low due to all the mechanical repairs needed and the damage to the body also needing repairs, or he wouldn’t have left it here for such a small amount. But I have to go through the lien process to get rid of the vehicle. I have talked to his lien holder twice and told them both times the paperwork is available at the [redacted]. I also verified this with [redacted] again this afternoon. I now have legal title to the vehicle and it has been repaired. I told his finance company the easiest answer might be for them to buy the vehicle back from me, rewrite his contract and give him the vehicle. To address his comment regarding the vehicle being reported stolen, it wasn’t as he brought the car to us.  [redacted]

12/9/17   Dear sir or madam,   We were not opportunistic in anyway, just trying to deal with a car that got left with us. We usually allow 3 days for a customer to pick up their vehicle, but we gave Mr. [redacted] two weeks of storage for free to try to help him out, he was told July 10th personally by me as when we would begin storage and he still didn’t pick up the vehicle. When he called on July 21st I told him then our business goes on even if you don’t deal with your car. After we received title to the vehicle we fixed what was needed to sell it instead of just sending it off to a wrecking yard. We have approximately $5000 in storage, mechanical repairs and body repairs. At a selling price of $6000 this gives us a little for the extra two weeks storage, detailing to get it ready to sell and the work handling all this. If Mr. [redacted] will read the mechanics lien laws, he’ll find out the value of this vehicle considering all the repairs needed is well under the amount requiring a signature to file a lien. If he or the lien holder need any information regarding all this the [redacted] will be more than happy to answer all questions. I believe a win, win would be for the finance company to refinance his vehicle, pay us the $6000.00 and he would have his FIXED car back and they could then start receiving payments from him.   [redacted]
