The customer had his Ford Fwith 196,miles on it towed to our dealership stating that this vehicle idled down, quit and wouldn't turn over or startHe also stated that the clean DPF message was appearingOur service department diagnosed that the diesel particulate filter was plugged and that there was a bad injectorThe customer was given the option to replace injector or all injectors and he chose to have all injectors replacedThe customer was also given the option to replace, clean or delete DPF and he chose to have it deletedOur service department replaced all injectors and put in the delete kit for the DPF as that is what the customer wantedOur service department test drove the vehicle and there were no lights on and the operation checked out goodIt is unfortunate that the customer is having engine problems, the lifespan of a diesel engine on a year old service/work truck is not predictable and may very well be at the end of its lifecycle at 196,miles Courtesy Ford is more than happy to take a look at the service/work truck and diagnose what might be wrong with it

I was driving out of town between Shelby and Conrad montana when I had a display to pull over.I had my ford ftowed to courtesy fordthey diagnosed "the problem" and did repair work on truckI was charged $for workI picked it up after two wweks at their shopI drove approxmiles down interstate and truck began to bellow white smoketook it to lithia ford in Missoula, mtthey diagnosed it with bad cylinders( engine is bad)they quoted me $13000+ dollars for new enginehave made repeated attempts to talk to courtesy ford, they wont return my callsi had an attorney send a letter with no responsebeing out of town, I cant afford an attorney to file action against these peopleso here I am, stressed and wondering what to doi spent $and now have a blown engine after milesi would like them to replace my engine free of charge because I believe its their work that caused this

I have had dealings in the past with Courtesy and never had an issue until recently
This past December we took our vehicle into them for repairsIt took a full month to get a quote from them and after we told them to move forward with the repairs, the quote was far from completeThe original estimated time to finish it was two weeks, middle of FebruaryI understand things don't go according to plan and with not enough mechanics, things take timeSo I assumed first of March and was patientMarch came around and the total for the repairs continued to growBy the middle of March I was promised it would be doneEach week there was a new excuse and a new promiseThis continued until end of AprilI was told at one point at the beginning of April that the mechanic that had been working on our car was at a training and no other mechanics could work on it because they were on "priority" jobs...at this point my vehicle had been in for over three months alreadyI called management and they told me they would get them going on itThis continued throughout the entire last month with phone calls everyday and new excuses
During this entire time, I was never once offered a rental or a vehicle to useI had plans that continued to be put off because of the lack of service and now I am waiting to see if they will work with me on the bill or if they expect me to pay full price for a job that was originally supposed to take two weeks that took over four months
After this experience I will NEVER do business with Courtesy Ford againI understand things don't go as planned but it was a constant barrage of excuses on mechanics not being there, parts not ordered, wrong parts ordered, and not once was I offered some kind of recompense for the inconvenience

I have a Ford Crown victoria A recall was done on the light moduleI took it in to Courtesy Ford and they put it on the computer and said it was badThe manufacture was only puttimg out so many modules and they had to keep ordering the partI went to see them to find out if they was able to get the partThey check the computerand tried to tell meI can buy the partI remindd them it was a recallthey said they could get the part so I took my car inThey called meand said it was the dimmer switch and they don't think it will help to put the module inI ask them why they said the computer told them it was the moduleThey said they don't know how to use the computerI then found out they was under new ownershipthey wanted to charge because they said they thought it was the dimmer switchI received a bill for diagnostic of the car for what they decide to say it was the light switchThis is after Courtesy Ford said it was a recall issueI took the car to Bison Ford in Gre

The customer had his 2008 Ford F550 with
196,689 miles on it towed to our dealership stating that this vehicle idled
down, quit and wouldn't turn over or start. He also stated that the
clean DPF message was appearing. Our service department
diagnosed that the diesel...

particulate filter was plugged and that there was a
bad injector. The customer was given the option to replace 1 injector or all 8
injectors and he chose to have all 8 injectors replaced. The customer was also
given the option to replace, clean or delete DPF and he chose to have it
deleted. Our service department replaced all 8 injectors and put in the delete
kit for the DPF as that is what the customer wanted. Our service department
test drove the vehicle and there were no lights on and the operation checked
out good. It is unfortunate that the customer is having engine problems, the
lifespan of a diesel engine on a 9 year old service/work truck is not
predictable and may very well be at the end of its lifecycle at 196,689 miles.
Courtesy Ford is more than happy to take a look at the service/work truck and
diagnose what might be wrong with it.
