Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/08/10) */
We strive to provide the best possible service to all of our residents. Below is a summary of dates and work completed in an effort to resolve the issue with the air conditioning:

5/5- Work order placed for A/C
5/6- A/C was charged and...

to our knowledge working correctly.
5/26- Another service request placed (approx. 3 weeks after last service) A/C was found to once again be low on freon. Leak check was performed and subsequently tightened the charging valve.
A/C was operating property at this time.
6/20- 3rd request for a/c not cooling- tightened piercing valve.
6/28- 4th service request placed. Was determined that a new A-coil and furnace was needed. Contacted a contractor and a temporary window unit was installed.
7/18- Contractor installed new furnace and a-coil.
7/20- Resident stated a/c operating and requested to remove window.
7/21-A/C blowing out hot air. It was determined that the new a-coil and old condensing unit were not compatible.
7/22- New condensing unit installed a/c operating no other issues reported
Although there were multiple requests and this stretched out over time; we made every attempt to complete the repairs. Unfortunately, a scenario like this does play out occasionally. As you repair and/or replace parts; other parts fail or the system can't handle the load and break downs happen in other components or portions of the system (this often happens with sewer lines as well).
Further, it is sometimes not known until you replace an A-Coil whether the condensing unit will be compatible or be able handle the load. Changes in A/C systems in recent years have resulted in different types of systems to be used and the likelihood of "mixing and matching" parts of systems is a 50/50 proposition.
We feel that we made appropriate attempts to solve the problems the resident experienced. Having said that, we do understand the inconvenience and frustration on their part. We will be in contact with them to attempt to come up with a satisfactory resolution for her.
