Courtyard by Marriott Alexandria Pentagon South

Review: Beginning Wednesday, November 6, 2013 through Saturday, November 9, 2013 I stayed at the property (Confirmation Number: [redacted] ). I was traveling for business. When traveling I try whenever possible to stay at a Marriott property and am a Marriott rewards member. I have stayed at many other Courtyards before and have been generally pleased with my stays. However, I was very disappointed with this particular property. The room looked a far cry from the pictures shown on the website. The room looked worn. When choosing a hotel I rely heavily on the property to ensure that it will be a tranquil and pleasant place to stay. Also, the window overlooked a very busy and LOUD freeway, the window had a draft which apparently allowed for the sounds of the freeway to come into the room. Worst of all, on the last morning of my stay, I was awakened by the smell of cigarette smoke. Rather than stay in a bit later as I had planned to do, I left almost immediately. I thought I would publish this complaint on Yelp but decided to do it here instead and provide the hotel an opportunity to make up for the poor stay.Desired Settlement: Refund of all or some of the reward credit used.

I have received the comments from **. [redacted], ID [redacted], regarding his recent stay with us and I have emailed **. [redacted] with an apology letter. Within this letter I have apologized for the poor condition of his room and assured him that we will address the stated concerns. I have also refunded all of the points he used for his reservation back to his Marriott Rewards account. These points were immediately posted onto his account.
