Review: Sought Couture Design Events’ services for my upcoming wedding. An initial wedding appointment with point of contact [redacted] was held on 9/2/15, and an Original Estimate for services document was received on 9/15/15 via email. After discussing alterations to be made to the Original Proposal over the course of approximately three weeks, a decision was made to reserve Couture Design Events’ wedding services for my wedding date of 6/3/16. On 9/21/15, [redacted] informed via email that a revised proposal would be issued. However, the revision was not received and I contacted [redacted] via email on 10/6/15 to request the document. [redacted] informed via email on 10/7/15 that the revisions had been made, and requested a Save the Date deposit in order to reserve my wedding date as another wedding was stated as having been reserved for the same date. A revised proposal/contract was not issued at this time. I attempted to contact [redacted] via the office line telephone on the same date, she was not available, and I spoke with owner [redacted]. [redacted] informed not to have the revised proposal available containing an adjusted total cost of services. I received a telephone call from [redacted] on 10/8/15 and was informed the revised proposal would be issued to my attention that day. [redacted] verbally informed of the total cost of services and that the Save the Date deposit consisted of 50% of the total cost. I provided credit card information at this time and was charged 50% of the said total cost, receiving a receipt via email on the same date.

I did not receive a revised proposal/contract and contacted [redacted] via email to request the document on 10/22/15 and 12/7/15. Responses to the inquiries were not received. I attempted to contact [redacted] via telephone twice between 10/22/15 and 11/30/15, contacting the business main office line and the cell phone number assigned to her. Voicemails were left both times detailing the request for the contract and providing my contact information. Responses were not received. I contacted the main office line of the business on 11/30/15 and received the response of Patterson. In speaking with her, I informed of the deposit and that a revised contract had not been received in order to secure the services of Couture Design Events. [redacted] informed the contract would be issued via email and she confirmed my current email address. I did not receive said email or contract and business owner [redacted] was contacted via email on 12/10/15. I informed of the follow up attempts made with [redacted] and not having received the updated contract after submitting a deposit on 10/8/15, two months prior. I requested the updated contract be issued to my attention in order to secure the services of the business, or to receive a refund for the deposit. I received a response email from [redacted] on the same date informing he would “get with Tiffany asap to get your contract to you.” As of this date, 1/7/16, I have not received the contract or any additional communication from [redacted], [redacted], or Couture Design Events.Desired Settlement: In order to secure Couture Design Events' services for my wedding on 6/3/16, I request a copy of the revised contract for services be issued to my attention and finalized by the business. If this can not occur, I request a refund for the deposit of $567.39 submitted on 10/8/15 to Couture Design Events.
