First, I must say the cabin itself was beautiful, it was the customer service of Cove Mountain Realty that I am truly disappointed in, and that they will not stand behind creating a good experience for their customers and addressing issues with their customers in a timely mannerWe have been return customers for many years, but this is the last time we will use this company! The office personnel take messages, but I have yet to get a call back from the office manager or the owner about our stay, after leaving 4-messages and speaking with the bookkeeper I was told by her that since I refused to have a pest company come in to disrupt our last day of staying there, that in her eyes, nothing else would be done to 'fix' a bad experience It's my understanding that she is the link between the managers and owners, and I never got a return call I'm not sure if upper management or owners even know about the messages I've left or the issues I have raised
We rented Bear Hug, paying the extra amount for a bedroom that we were unable to use because of mice scurrying around all hours of the night It took us til the 3rd night to see and identify them though, which is when I called to report the issue Bats inhabit the rafters of the front porch, and with after just one night's stay, you have no doubt about itEither, the cleaning people do not communicate or the office doesn't take care of issues, which one, I am unsure, but they should have at least known about the bats! Bat houses placed away from the front porch may be optionUnfortunately, when you walk out to use the hot tub, you step in their feces, so beware
I called basically for a 'discount', since we were unable to use the extra bedroom we paid for, and in essence, I have been completely ignored I called again today to ask for the owner, a message had to left, which goes through the book keeper as well I am hoping for the best, but so far, their track record isnt very good and I cannot be sure that the owner will ever even get the message
It's just a shame that we have been repeat customers, and this company doesn't seem to value customer loyalty with a simple call back to resolve an issue I will not use them againThere are dozens of other cabin rentals in the area Please save yourself some trouble and check the other ones out I know I am Thanks!
My husband and I rented a cabin through Cove Mountain Realty and Resorts from Octthrough Oct26, We found several issues with the cabin while staying thereThe kitchen was infested with cockroaches which is disgusting but not dangerousThe major issue of the cabin was a water leakThe upstairs bathroom had a showerWhen someone would take a shower the pipes leaked through the ceiling to the downstairsThe water leaked through the smoke detector, which was broken, presumably by the water running through it, there is a light fixture on the ceiling about a foot away from the smoke detecterIt was leaking in several places including around the lightThe large amount of water that came through the ceiling dripped onto the lamenant floor next to a stone fireplaceThe cabin has a wood burning fireplaceSo the absence of smoke detector is very dangerous, as well as electrical wires potentially being wet, as well as someone falling and hitting the edge of the stone fireplaceI was ignored by the management staff up until checkoutI went into the office to speak with a managerThe owner of the business threatened to call the police before I even spoke, he screamed and yelled at me,called me a liar, could not provide a reasonable answer to our questions, and got in my face and screamed and yelled at meHis wife got involved and also screamed and yelledWe recorded the entire thing and I wish that I could post it hereDo not ever rent a cabin from themThey are horrible people, liars, crooks, and the cabins are disgusting and dangerous
