Covenant Contracting Reviews (6)

I Live in Fenton, close to CC and with good reviews and having them close I had them come and look at my front doorMy house was built in the early 70's and had a fake double door entry but a real double screen doorThose who don't know - the outside view looks like double doors, the inside view has one doorThey came, looked, estimated, ordered the real double door, came back cutout the door and the fake door and it was amazing! Professionalism at its best, very kind and courteous throughout the job, they took one afternoon to finish and made sure I was happy, they were happyI now have them quoting my kitchen

covenant contracting is a honest hard working company I had a wide arrange of work done for me by them, I am very pleased, I would recommend that you give them a try

Hired *** *** to repair a leak that developed behind the ledger board on my residential deckWilliam came out to my house and examined the problem and provided an innovative solution [ others were skeptical at different levels] as well as a timely written proposalThe repairs were performed in one day and extremely efficientHe and his crew did a great job and left no trace of any mess upon completionI would recommend this organization to anyone needing repairs on your home

We had a very positive experience with Covenant Contracting and would recommend them highly A+

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 8, 2014/11/13) */
Mrs*** was out of town when roof was doneThe roof needed new sheathing which they said they could not afford
It was the middle of winter and we had just had a major ice storm and they needed the roof closed in
They had sent the
money to the nieghbor who handled the signing of proposalI would have to look in my files to find the neighbor's information
The neighbor called me and told me the inspector for possible buyers said the sheething was badShe offered to give me $of her money to fix bad sheething but I could not take her money
I spoke to Mrs *** several times and told her I would provide the labor to fix the roof, but I could not provide the material too, considering I told them over and over again that the sheething needed to be replaced
From her complaint I do not see the bad wood mentionedThe neighbor did say that they sent an extra $to fix any bad wood, but to replace sheathing was approx $how could I be responsible to pay for their roof sheathing
I have no complaints from any consumers and have a rating from reviews on my home advisor and on my web page
I do not see how I can be responsible for the roof sheathing
I do not know how we can resolve this complaintThe homeowner and the neighbor said they could not pay for any extra work
Also I never recived a notice until Joanne Holt verbally told me about this complaint today
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 15, 2014/11/17) */
AT THE TIME MR*** WAS DOING THE ROOF, HE SPOKE ONLY TO *** *** THE NEIGHBOR, CONCERNING THE NEED TO REPLACE WOOD ON THE ROOFHE WAS MADE AWARE THAT THIS HOUSE WOULD BE PUT ON THE MARKET FOR SELL ,AND HE AND HIS WIFE EVEN LOOKED AT THE INTERIOR OF THE HOUSE AS POTENTIAL BUYERSHE WAS ON THE ROOF AND MRS*** WAS ON THE SIDEWALK WHEN HE TOLD HER THAT THE SPOT BEHIND THE FRONT DOOR HAD TO BE REPLACED.HE SAID THAT THE WHOLE WOODEN STRUCTURE COULD USE REPLACEMENT, BUT THAT SPOT WAS DEFINITELY NEEDEDMRSSUTTER, NOT THE OWNER, MR***, TOLD HIM THAT MR*** WOULD NOT WANT TO REPLACE THE WHOLE ROOFAT NO TIME WAS HE TOLD THAT MR*** COULD NOT AFFORD ITAT NO TIME DID MR*** SAY THAT IT WOULD NOT PASS INSPECTION IF IT WERE NOT REPLACEDAT NO TIME DID HE ASK TO SPEAK TO THE OWNER BY PHONE IN ORDER TO EXPLAIN HOW IMPORTANT IT WOULD BE TO REPLACE THE WHOLE WOODEN STRUCTURE, KNOWING THAT THIS HOUSE WAS SOON TO BE SOLDIN MR***'S ANSWER, HE SAYS THAT HE TOLD MRS*** "OVER AND OVER AGAIN THAT THE SHEATHING NEEDED TO BE REPLACED." HE HAD NOT EVEN SPOKEN TO MROR MRS*** CONCERNING THE ROOF UNTIL AFTER IT FAILED TO PASS INSPECTION...ONLY TO *** *** THE NEIGHBOR, AND THIS WAS IN ONE CONVERSATION OF LESS THAN FIVE MINUTES...HE ON THE ROOF AND MRS*** ON THE SIDEWALKTHEN HE REPAIRED THAT ONE SPOT USING METAL AND NOT WOOD!!
MR*** DOES NOT ADDRESS THE MANY PHOTOS OF BROKEN ROOF DECKING, IMPROPER SPACING, AND INCORRECT INSTALLATION OF SHINGLES AND FLASHINGDID HE NOT SEE THESE PHOTOS? DID SOMEONE WITH KNOWLEDGE OF ROOFING IN THE Revdex.com ORGANIZATION NOT LOOK AT THESE PHOTOS?
MR*** HAS SHOWN THAT HE WAS A POOR ROOFERTHEREFOR THIS CONSUMER DID NOT SEE IT AS AN OPTION TO PAY HIM MORE MONEYHE WANTED $2,MORE TO FIX ONLY THOSE SPOTS WHICH THE INSPECTOR SAID NEEDED TO BE REPAIREDWE SEE PAYING BACK THE MONEY HE WAS PAID AS THE ONLY OPTION
MR*** WRITES ABOUT HIS EXCELLENT RATING WITH OTHERS FOR WHICH HE HAS DONE WORKIF THIS HOUSE HAD NOT BE PUT UP FOR SELL AND FAILED TO PASS INSPECTION, MR*** (AGE 81) AND MRS*** (AE 69) WOULD NOT HAVE KNOWN WHAT A HORRIBLE JOB HE HAD DONECOULD THIS BE THE CASE FOR ALL THOSE OTHERS WHO SAY HE DID A GOOD JOB? HE SEEMS A NICE PERSON AND SPEAKS OF BEING A MINISTER, BUT THE ROOF DID NOT PASS INSPECTIONDOES THE Revdex.com NOT MAKE THEIR MEMBERS HONOR THEIR CONTRACTS? DOES THE Revdex.com NOT PROTECT SENOIR CITIZENS?
I IMPLORE THE Revdex.com TO LET SOMEONE WITH A KNOWLEDGE OF ROOFING TO REOPEN THIS CASESTUDY THE PHOTOS

05/07/15: Mediator called business and left voice mail message
05/07/15: I did not have enough in writingThey had the roof done a few years before and at that time they also did not replace the sheathingThey knew they needed the sheathing replacedThey clearly stated they could not afford the new sheathingThe neighbor offered to pay me $because she knew it needed to be replacedThey are out of state and they sent $and that was all they could affordI went back twice and returned in the dead of winter to do the repairs when a shingle blew offI want this to be resolved, but if I offer any money I would be accepting guilt when I clearly told them the sheathing needed to be replacedI can not give them $3,I have a complaint with you now and they did not want to spend the moneyI will talk with my attorney and see what I should doI am not in the wrong and have integrityI will offer them $a month for months for a total of $1,to resolve the caseStarting in June on the second week for months
05/08/15: I will agree to payments of $for a total of $to resolve the caseI need you to send me the address to mail the check
