On November 15, 2017 the vehicle 2007 [redacted] with 168000 miles came in with the customer complaint that  they replaced the alternator and battery and it is not charging correctly , The vehicle losses power and dies while driving. all lights flicker and the vehicle dies. They towed the...

vehicle into us. We checked the vehicle found :1. The alternator is not charging and the plug to the alternator is broken this will cause it to not have a good connection and possibly short out the alternator. This alternator connector is only purchased through buying the whole wiring harness, which is discontinued. We offered to go to the wrecking yard and try to find a connector that would work to repair this vehicle . We had to go to two wrecking yards to find the correct connector. 2. The battery fuse link ( 140 amps )is broken and has been bypassed with another fuse link (50 amps. )after repairing the connector , replacing the alternator and replacing the fuse link holder on the battery with a factory one the vehicle is charging but the voltage is fluctuating up and down. after further diagnostics found the Integrated power distribution module (IPDM) is shorted out. This would cost 672.31 the customer stated this is a financial hardship so we offered to install a bypass to get the vehicle to charge correctly. customer approved. After performing all this above mentioned repairs the vehicle was charging at 14.31 volts. We test drove the vehicle to Lodi and back the vehicle drove properly no more problems at this time. The vehicle was ready for pick up on November 22. the customer stated they could not pick up the vehicle until Monday, November 27. The vehicle was picked up.  On November 28, 2017 Customer called stating the vehicle was shaking at 40 mph and higher speeds and there was smoke coming  out of the engine and the temperature gauge was goind to hot and would not accelerate. the vehicle was towed into the shop. Upon check in found the vehicle nearly out of coolant, replaced coolant and checked the cooling system.  1. Found the plastic bypass hose in the rear part of the engine has broken causing the vehicle to overheat, this has new hose clamps on it where someone has repaired this in the resent past. 2. with approval we repaired coolant leak . test drove the vehicle to Lodi and back , no more coolant leaks found .3. when driving the vehicle found the vehicle is shaking when braking due to rotors being warped . Called customer to inform her she needs brake rotors she informed us that she they just replaced the brake pads but did not replace or surface the rotors.  on Wednesday November 29, 2017 customer brought the vehicle in and staed her dad looked under the vehicle found a wire hanging that was not hangint there before. We checked the vehicle found the oil pressure switch was broken , this looked like an original part. the customer was very upset . We offered to replace the part for no charge to accommodate customer this is not anything we previously worked on  with this vehicle. We replaced the oil pressure switch at no charge for the customer. We test drove the vehicle with the customer two times once with the mechanic and I took the vehicle for a drive with the customer ,the vehicle drove properly . when the customer was drivng out of the parking lot I noticed coolant leaking from the vehicle I asked her to drive the vehicle back in so we could recheck her vehicle . 1. we found the coolant leaking from possibly the radiator. we told her we would need to take the cooling fan assembly out to verify the exact place it is leaking from . We gave her an estimate on the cost of a new radiator , this radiator cost more than a normal radiator because it has a cooling module and the receiver drier for the a/c on it. there for it lists at 733.00 . we would also recommend radiator hoses if the radiator needs to be replaced. This is a 2.5 hour job. we offered to give her a 200.00 discount on parts considering she has spent so much money on this vehicle here recently. I explained to her , that her satisfaction with our work is our #1 priority. she asked if she could make it home with the leak we filled up the coolant she drove home. she declined anymore diagnostics or repairs at this time. We at Harrison Auto Electric have been in business since 1943 we take pride in our work and customer satisfaction is our #1 priority. We are looking forward to working with the RevDex.com to rectify this situation.  Thank You ,  [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because: I no longer want to go through with this process, and I am going to go to small claims court for this matter.
